Former Disney star Bella Thorne recently opened up about why she decided to direct an adult film for PornHub called 'Her & Him.'

The 'Shake It Up' actress said that her short pornographic film started out originally as a "Christmas horror movie." The plot of the movie revolves around a man who comes across some content on his girlfriend's phone that suggests she wants to kill him.

"What inspired me to do the movie was basically thinking about this relationship between a male and a female and this fight over dominance and how this relates to our general world, besides in a sexual scenario," Bella said, LadBible reported.

The movie, which stars actors who go by the names Abella Danger and Small Hands and features music by Bella's boyfriend Mod Sun, was described by PornHub Vice President Corey Price as "a modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have an unbridled sexual longing for each other."

Bella insisted that her movie differed from the typical adult movies in the sense that real-life couples could identify with it.

"The vision behind the story was basically creating these two dynamic characters that could kind of, again, switch off from a dominant and submissive," she said. "My vision originally was to make a Christmas horror movie. And instead, I made a very beautiful, ethereal, neon type of vision. Sometimes you go in thinking that you want something specific and you totally change your mind."

As for shooting naked people having sex for her directorial debut, the 'Big Love' star said that it was "interesting."

"Well, the process of shooting was quite interesting because we had real-life f***ing on set, which I have never shot before... also this was my first short in general, so it was quite an interesting experience to have the first thing that I really fully directed have so much sex in it... It is quite a fun environment," she said.
