LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The world of 'Fast & Furious' has been the epitome of high-octane action and blockbuster entertainment for over a decade. However, beyond the glamorous facade and the recent release of 'Fast X' on May 19, tensions have quietly simmered behind the scenes, with Vin Diesel's divergent work ethic taking center stage.

In the past, Dwayne Johnson openly expressed his frustrations concerning Diesel's work ethic during the 'Fast 8' movie. Known for his unwavering commitment and intense training, Johnson found himself at odds with Diesel's approach to the franchise.

Dwayne Johnson's fumes over Vin Diesel's work ethic

Following the wrap of filming for 'Fast & Furious 8', 'The Rock' took to social media to express his frustration with his male co-stars, using the term "candy asses" to describe them. While he did not explicitly mention any names, it was widely speculated that his comments were primarily directed towards Diesel, who not only co-starred alongside Johnson but also served as a producer on the Fast series.

Members of Johnson's crew reportedly confirmed that "The Rock has been upset with Vin's work ethic for a long time, and he's not alone," reported TMZ. Production staff also added that "Vin was often 30 minutes to an hour late to shoot scenes ... and it wasn't because he was late to the set -- he was simply in his trailer and wouldn't come out." It had been reported that Diesel allegedly had reservations about Monday 7 am calls during production, leading to a schedule adjustment to 10 am.

Additionally, his behavior was described as excessively arrogant, and he wouldn't listen to people and "would goad people, including The Rock, by criticizing their acting." It is worth noting that the crew seemed to be supportive of Johnson, as they emphasized that "he's the ultimate professional who is always on time and always nails his scenes." Although recent reports suggest that Johnson and Diesel have managed to put their differences aside, seemingly ending their feud.

Vin Diesel's shift of blame toward Jason Momoa for overacting

However, a fresh set of conflicts has emerged, surrounding rumors of Diesel's purported anger towards Jason Momoa for his alleged "overacting" in the 'Fast X' movie.

Despite the fact that critics singled out Momoa for praise, labeling him as one of the redeeming factors in the franchise, Diesel, desperate to absolve himself of any responsibility, sought to shift the blame onto Momoa. Critics described the film as "convoluted," "congested," and "predictably ridiculous," leaving Diesel feeling embarrassed that Momoa was being hailed as the sole shining light in the franchise that Diesel himself had built.

Diesel allegedly resorted to throwing Momoa under the bus, claiming that Momoa's "overacting" and his ability to "steal scenes" undermined the film's overall impact. Despite the accolades showered upon Momoa by critics, Diesel seemed dismayed that the focus was shifting toward Momoa's performance rather than his own. According to an insider source “Vin is embarrassed Jason is being branded the only bright spot in the film and stealing his thunder in the franchise he built himself,” reported Radar Online.
