Princess Beatrice will be a mother soon, the royal family has confirmed. The happy news was shared on their official Twitter account on Wednesday, May 19 - the day when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot three years ago. However, the account did not wish the pair, who shifted to the US last year to start a new independent life.

Now many royal fans and experts reportedly think that the announcement of Beatrice’s pregnancy on the Sussexes’ anniversary is a subtle dig at them since the pair announced their first pregnancy on Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie's wedding day in October 2018. At the time, many felt that Harry and Meghan were attempting to steal the limelight from Eugenie by making the announcement.

A social media user tweeted, “I don’t think it’s accidentally that Princess Beatrice announced her pregnancy on Prince Harry & Meghan’s third anniversary.” Another one wrote, "Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and her husband, who've just announced that they're expecting their first child. It's also Harry and Meghan's wedding anniversary today. Are the royals playing them at their own game now.......or is this just a brilliant coincidence?"

The third said, “I have to wonder why did the palace decide to announce Beatrice’s baby news today. on the Prince and princess Henry of wales anniversary, how petty. Congrats though Beatrice.”

“Interesting coincidence that the #royal baby news was announced on Harry and #Meghan's wedding anniversary. Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, was said to have been surprised that Meghan chose to announce that she was pregnant to guests at her wedding in 2018,” Daily Mail royal editor Richard Eden added.

A user posted, "Princess Beatrice has announced her pregnancy on the third anniversary of Harry and Meghan’s marriage clearly to get back at Meghan announcing her pregnancy at Beatrice’s wedding #RoyalBaby."

But one royal fan dismissed the “no coincidence” theory as they posted, “People crying about Princess Beatrice and Edo announcing their baby news today (on Harry and Meghan’s wedding anniversary). Your point? Harry and Meghan literally announced their pregnancy to the family at Beatrice’s sisters wedding. ON THE WEDDING DAY. Congrats Bea.”

However, their fans did not let them down as Derek Momodu, associate picture editor @DailyMirror Politics, tweeted, “‘I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me. I choose her. Whatever we have to tackle will be us together as a team.’ - Prince Harry. Congratulations to Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on their third wedding anniversary #HarryandMeghan.”
