In 'Batwoman' episode 10, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) was met with a surprise at her office. Beth (Rachel Skarsten) stood there with a huge smile on her face, ready to be welcomed warmly by her twin sister. This version of Beth is different from Alice (Skarsten) and Kate doesn't seem to register the differences initially. Instead, she even attacks Beth thinking of her as Alice. The promo of the upcoming episode in a way explains how Beth and Alice could exist on the same Earth.

During the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', Batwoman became the Paragon of Courage. She was also entrusted to create a new world where all the DC superheroes including Supergirl existed -- Earth-Prime. It was while creating this world that Batwoman possibly wished to see her sister Beth alive and well. Not Beth transformed into Alice, but the Beth who grew up with her. So when in the promo she says "My wish came true", Kate means that Beth's existence on Earth-Prime is a result of her actions.

It also looks like Sophie will be left to deal with Alice by herself while Mouse wreaks havoc in Gotham. Mouse's one condition to stop his evil plans that might bring about death and destruction is for Alice to be released. Will Sophie be able to let Alice go now that she has finally got her hands on one of the evilest villains in Gotham? Highly unlikely.

What comes as a surprise in the promo, however, is when Kate tells "Let her go." For now, we would have to assume that she is speaking to Sophie about Alice. If things proceed just as we have speculated, then Kate might just have a plan about facing Alice. Will she use Beth to confront Alice or does she plan on finally letting go of Alice? Even as we wait for the next episode to see what Kate has planned, one thing that is certain is the displacement that Beth is going to feel on Earth-Prime. She is already confused about the many things that have changed since she returned after the semester break. This confusion is only going to get worse and an inkling of that is teased in the promo as well when Beth asks Kate why she doesn't remember things.

'Batwoman' episodes air on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
