'Basketball Wives' star Brooke Bailey still feeling 'fragile and broken' after daughter's death 2 months ago

Bailey's daughter Kayla was 25 years old two months ago when she died, suposedly in a car accident, but the cause of her death hasn't been confirmed

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Brooke Bailey mourned the death of her daughter Kayla Nicole Bailey this Thanksgiving. The 45-year-old 'Basketball Wives' star posted a photo of herself on November 24 sitting next to her daughter's grave, which was decorated with a vibrant bouquet of flowers. “It’s an Angel Mom thing,” she captioned the Instagram post. “Be glad you don’t understand.”

Bailey went on to say that she is “fragile and broken, and have felt sadness and despair beyond what words can explain.” She continued, “My Child is gone from this earth and there is no pain as intense as what is in my broken heart.”

Several of her 'Basketball Wives' co-stars showed their love and support, including Jennifer Williams, who wrote in the comments, "Love you Brooke." Jackie Christie said, "I love you my baby" and Brandi commented with prayer hands emoji. “You are so strong queen! I’m praying for your continued healing and may God comfort your heart in these hard times beautiful,” wrote former 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' star Erica Pinkett.

Bailey first shared the devastating news that Kayla had passed away at the age of 25 on social media two months ago. Rumors spread that she died after she was badly injured in a car accident. Bailey seemed to confirm the news by sharing an article about the collision but the cause and exact manner of Kayla's death's official remain unknown.

Bailey, mother to two more sons, broke the news of Kayla's passing and thanked everyone for their love and support. “Kayla left a mark on so many lives,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. “She entered the room and demanded love, respect, and attention. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her, she has forever changed your life.” 

“Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey,” the reality star captioned on a post with multiple pictures of her daughter on Instagram on Sept. 25. “This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.”



 

Bailey posted a video on November 7 where a tattoo artist was seen replicating a photo of Kayla on her arm in a video, showing the tattooing process. She said in the captions to the video, "“I miss you Realkaylaaaa. It’s forever. Thank you, Saul_mora for bringing my beautiful portrait to life. Part [one]. Part [two] coming soon.” On October 18, Brooke also conducted a memorial service for her daughter. She shared information about the memorial in an Instagram picture with the message, "Celebrating the life of Kayla Nicole Ford-Bailey."
