LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The first two episodes of ‘Barry’ Season 4 have made it clear that things are looking bleak for the titular character and the last set of episodes might take us to an end that we never ever expected. The two-hour premiere was about Barry (Bill Hader) adjusting to the prison lifestyle and losing his cool. However, he soon realized that if he wants to get out of prison, he might have to work with the FBI and become an informant. The second episode ended with Fuches telling Hank that Barry is now working with the FBI and he is going to tell everything to them. Hank makes it clear that Barry is their biggest problem right now and wants to end this problem by killing the titular character.

In Episode 3, we get to see Barry living inside the FBI’s Safe Housing Facility and revealing details about LA’s Chechen and Bolivian Mafia organizations. Apart from the crime organizations, the character also mentions the relationship between Hank and Cristobal. The FBI agents are really pleased with all the information that has been given by Barry and promise him that they will give him a new life with his former girlfriend, Sally Field. However, they are a little skeptical about starting a new life with Sally because she might not be interested to be with him after all of this. But Barry is pretty sure that Sally will come to him despite knowing what he has done.

Barry gets to know about Cousineau's real intentions

On the other hand, Barry gets to know Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler) has talked to a reporter from Vanity Fair about him (Barry) being a hitman and his involvement in the death of Janice Moss. The reporter, Lon O’Neil, comes to visit Barry and tells him everything that Cousineau has said about him. Barry loses his cool and tells him to leave.

In the third and final act of tonight’s episode, we see Barry calling Hank to talk about what’s actually happening. It is one of the best scenes in the show’s history and gives us a glimpse of how things are going to end. The devastating call sees Hank confronting Barry about working with the FBI and talking to him about his criminal operations. Barry says that he is innocent and vehemently denies all the allegations put forward by Hank. Hank was not convinced by his answer and continued to grill him. Meanwhile, Barry’s replies led to a verbal war between the two. When the call ended, Hank was convinced that he needed to kill Barry by hook or crook. Fuches realizes that Hank is trying to kill Barry and alerts the officers that Barry’s life is in danger.

Is Barry dead?

The concluding moments of the episode see a group of officers reaching the facility to take Barry’s case. However, the titular character soon realizes that one of the officers is here to kill him. He keeps calm and manages to single out the killer. A gunfight takes place inside the facility and more hitmen reach there to kill Barry. He realizes that this might be his best chance to escape prison and indulges in a fight with the assassins. He brutally kills all the assassins and is able to make it out of jail. Barry is still alive and angry, which means that a larger confrontation between him and Hank is inevitable.

But we also know that only one of the will come out alive. Who will it be? Let’s wait and watch.

'Barry' Season 4 returns to HBO with a new episode every Sunday at 9 pm EST.
