BAFTAs 2020: Al Pacino,79, trips and falls on the stairs while walking the red carpet
Actor Al Pacino became a victim of an unfortunate incident as he took a tumble when he walked the red carpet for the awards show. He was ascending the stairs at Royal Albert Hall, according to reports, when he tripped on the stairs and fell hard. The 79-year-old actor was pictured being helped up by the people beside him who helped him get steady. His girlfriend Meital Dohan, 40, was also present at the award show and quickly rushed to his side.
Luckily, the actor did not suffer any serious injuries and got back on his feet. Despite this incident, there is no doubt that Al Pacino's attire for the award show stole the event. He wore an all-black suit that had a tint of color because of his blue jacket. He completed the look with a pair of sunglasses. The actor is nominated for his role in the 'Irishman'. Previously, the actor appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and was asked how he felt about playing the role of a man who was 40 years younger. The actor confessed that it wasn't strange as after a while he got used to playing the character.
The actor starred along Robert De Niro for his role in the 'Irishman'. Speaking to Express, the actor shed light on how it was to work with De Niro. “He’s great. The thing with Robert is you can do anything," he said. "That’s the pleasure I have of working with him because if somehow you come up with a word or a line, he’s right there. He’s so there in the scene, it’s a pleasure for an actor to work with someone like that.”
Previously, Al Pacino had won a BAFTA for his role in the famous 'The Godfather'. The movie gained instant popularity once it released and Al Pacino's role as Michael Corleone took a lot of praise from critics and viewers for his role.
