Several youngsters have turned to subscription-based adult website OnlyFans to make a quick buck. But the former 'Bachelor' contestant Matthew Johnson aka Matty 'J' Johnson strongly feels that the OnlyFans website might be a dangerous gateway for youngsters to land in the porn industry.

On his podcast 'The Babble', the former reality star warned youngsters against the perils of selling content on such websites. He said, "I think the problem here is that OnlyFans could become a stepping stone into the porn industry." He also added that if that's what people want then they can just carry on, but warned youngsters between 18-19 from selling their pictures on the website. He shared, "Which, hey, if that's your jam and if that's how you want to make money - then that's absolutely fine.  But for younger people who are 18, 19, who are less aware... Taking a photo with your nipple out, you do that for long enough it doesn't seem like a big deal, you then can progress to doing more and more porn-type content. And over the space of 12 months, you become quite desensitized to the content that you’re putting out there." Matty recounted an incident when he was asked to send a picture of his feet by a fan in exchange for $1000!

A number of celebrities have signed up to the website and began sharing pictures of themselves to their fans. Several celebrities like Blac Chyna, Safaree Samuels, and Casanova, have joined the website. Blac Chyna reportedly charges $50 for a picture of her feet. She shared a clip of her own feet squashing grapes, she wrote, "Foot Freak Monday’s Fans Only (link in bio)” along with hashtags such as “foot fetish” and “foot porn”. Actor Ansel Elgort of 'Baby Driver' fame has also shared a semi-nude photo of himself to his Instagram followers, and he wrote in the caption: “OnlyFans LINK IN BIO.”

The site is even getting shout outs from Queen Bey herself if reports are to be believed. On April 29, Beyonce long with Megan Thee Stallion, dropped a remix to “Savage,” with proceeds going to COVID-19 relief efforts. And one line, in particular, caught social media's attention: 'Hips TikTok when I dance / On that Demon Time, she might start an OnlyFans'. Needless to say, the site reaped the results. “In less than 24 hours since Megan Thee Stallion dropped her ‘Savage’ remix featuring Beyoncé, OnlyFans has seen a 15 percent spike in traffic,” a spokesperson for the site told The Daily Beast.

The website's co-founder Tom Stokley  explained about the website saying, "We built OnlyFans as a platform to enable creators to share their authentic content, free from brand endorsements and paid deals, and the growing momentum among these celebrities is the beginning of a new movement in social media that prioritizes personalization over mass appeal.”

OnlyFans was started in 2016 and has over 30 million users, and400,000 creators sharing content regularly on the platform. The website has become increasingly popular ever since the stay-at-home orders have been issues owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
