'My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix': 'Proud' mom Paris Hilton reveals name of her newborn son with husband Carter Reum
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Paris Hilton’s fans were up for a sweet surprise as she revealed her baby’s name with husband Carter Reum, 42, in her ‘This is Paris’ podcast on Wednesday, 22nd. The 41-year-old American businesswoman and socialite happily announced, “My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum,” and further continued to say that she and Carter are “are so proud to welcome him into the world.” On January 25, Hilton and Reum surprised their fans by posting a picture of a baby’s hand followed by the news of their son’s birth whom they welcomed via surrogacy.
‘The Simple Life’ star said in her ‘This is Paris’ podcast, “As you all know, Carter and I have been blessed with the arrival of our baby boy.” As a joyous mother, she further continues, “He is such a precious angel and we are just over the moon and so in love with him. We’re just so excited to start our family and can’t wait for you to see him. But for now, we’ve just been keeping everything really private.”

How did she prepare for motherhood?
The Hilton Hotel chain heir candidly spoke in her podcast about how she prepared for her motherhood. Her decision to film the YouTube documentary 'This is Paris' in 2020 aided her greatly in preparing for her role as a mother. After joking a bit about the probable names of the baby based on geographical locations like Ibiza and Vegas, Hilton says, she zeroed in on the name Phoenix. While reading a portion from her forthcoming memoir, she narrates, “If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I will have a baby boy. We plan to name him Phoenix, a name that I decided on years ago when searching cities, countries, and states on a map.”
She continues to say, the process of writing her memoir This is Paris also helped her in preparing for the new role.
Significance of the unique name
The ‘Paris in Love’ star further continues to elaborate on her son’s unique name, “Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points”. “But more important, it’s the bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again. I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future”, which then culminates into her revealing her son’s full name, “My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.” Phoenix’s middle name is in remembrance of Hilton’s celebrated grandfather, the business mogul Barron Hilton as the new mother said, “He was always my mentor, and I looked up to my grandfather so much, and we were so close, and I miss him every day, so I really wanted to honor him by having his name in my first son’s name.”
She said that she had been planning her “children’s names for years and years”. She also said that she is planning to name her future daughter London. In her podcast, talking about the significance of the name Phoenix, she says, Phoenix stands for “hope, rebirth, and transformation”.
