‘She’s having an episode’: Ashley Judd frantically texted mom Naomi’s therapist moments before tragedy
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: Newly released police records reveal Ashley Judd sent frantic texts to her mother Naomi Judd's therapist moments before the troubled country singer turned a gun on herself.
The ‘Love is Alive’ hitmaker, 76, fatally shot herself in the head on April 30 last year at her Tennessee ranch after undergoing years of emotional turmoil. Her body was reportedly discovered by Ashley. As per Radar Online, the Grammy winner suffered a manic episode before her death, which prompted Ashley to send a string of hysteric messages to her therapist Dr Ted Klontz. “She’s having an episode. Yelling and crying and pacing … Emergency … Please come to mom’s … Now," one of Ashley’s messages read.

The ‘Double Jeopardy’ star also told police that Naomi calmed down after Dr Klontz arrived at the family’s ranch. Ashley added her mom went upstairs while she and the physician discussed her condition downstairs. But when she went to check on her mother, she found her with a horrific bullet wound to the head. “She did it. She finally did it,” Ashley told Dr Klontz, according to Radar Online. It was also reported that the starlet held her dying mother in her arm for around 30 minutes until medical help arrived.

Earlier, it was revealed that the investigators discovered Naomi's suicide note, which made it clear she did not want her daughter Wynonna Judd at her funeral. "Do not let Wy come to my funeral. She’s mentally ill," Naomi wrote, underlining the word "not." A source previously told Radar Online that Wynonna was “upset” that she was excluded from the will, “considering she constituted half of the band and believed she was a major force behind her mother’s success." The legendary singer reportedly requested in her will that her husband, Larry Strickland, must have “full authority and discretion” over any assets of her estate “without the approval of any court or permission from any beneficiary of the estate,” the outlet reported.
That said, Wynonna previously denied rumors of a family feud over her late mother's estate. "Someone told me while I was at Ashley’s house, ‘Hey, did you know that they’re saying this about you?’ I went, ‘Huh? I’m fighting with Ashley?’” Wynonna told People magazine last October. “Fighting over what? I have such a great life. Ashley has a great life. Why would we be fighting over the will?”
