TAMPA, FLORIDA: An arrest warrant has been issued for former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to police following a battery charge stemming from allegations of domestic abuse against his ex-fiance. According to the police, when they got to Brown's house on Monday, November 28, 2022, his ex's belongings had been thrown on the ground and Brown had allegedly thrown a shoe at her.

Around 1:30 pm on November 28, 2022, Brown and the alleged victim got into a verbal altercation at a residence in south Tampa. When Brown allegedly threw a shoe at the mother of his children, the argument allegedly escalated and turned physical, according to the police.

"The suspect exited the residence and threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail," the police report read. "The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head. The suspect would not open the door or come outside to speak with officers. The suspect also during this incident attempted to issue an informal eviction to the victim," the police report further read, according to Fox 13.

The victim's things were allegedly tossed into the street, but by the time law enforcement officers came, the victim had retrieved them all and placed them in the driveway, according to the officer's account. Additionally, the victim mentioned that Brown owns two guns in the house.

On Thursday, December 1 afternoon, Tampa police tried to serve an arrest warrant against Brown, but he refused to come out. Brown, who is thought to still be inside the house, was not with the police when they departed.

According to a legal expert, police frequently leave after attempting to serve a warrant if they don't want to aggravate the situation, and can't see the suspect inside the house, or are secretly negotiating a surrender.

Brown allegedly barricaded himself in the home throughout the incident while officials attempted to communicate with him. According to the investigators, Brown threatened to shoot the victim if she attempted to enter the residence.

"The suspect placed an informal eviction notice on the door … with 11/28/2022 at the date showing the victim has 7 days to gather her belongings and leave," the police report said. "The suspect continued throughout the incident to state that the victim had no right to be at that residence or to even gain entry to it because she did not live there. The victim's ID has the listed address as her residence as of 10/18/2022," it further read.

Brown appears to have dug himself deep into additional legal difficulties. Brown was fired from the Buccaneers earlier this season after walking off the field as Tampa Bay was playing the New York Jets shirtless. Late in the third quarter, with Tampa Bay behind 24-10, Brown had a mid-game breakdown. In the midst of a conversation with teammate Mike Evans, he appeared enthusiastic as he took off his pads, jersey, gloves, and T-shirt. He then strolled bare-chested into the end zone after tossing the gloves and T-shirt into the stands. Brown was given a three-game suspension for breaking the league's COVID-19 rules just one month ago.

Additionally, Brown has a history of strange behavior and problems with his own behavior. Amid Tom Brady's split with Gisele Bündchen, Brown has also been mocking him with images of the two of them hugging on the field after the Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV.

A risk protection order, which can be granted if a person poses a serious risk to themselves or others and has access to a gun, was filed against Brown by Tampa police. A judge rejected the demand.

As usual social media users were quick to respond to Brown's recent actions with one commenting, "Get this man help. Honestly. That’s just horrible." Another commented, "Can’t help someone that don’t realize they need help. Unfortunate though almost everybody knows he needs it."

A third tweeted, "Wait, am I getting deja vu, didn’t this exact same allegation happen like 3 years ago?" Another noted, "This guy needs some help, this isnt going to end well."
