'I don't know how I can trust anyone': Ariana Madix opens up about trust issues after Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss affair
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Madix, the fiery 'Vanderpump Rules' actress, is rising from the ashes following a devastating betrayal that left her heartbroken with trust issues. Madix is now progressing at her own pace, with lots of support and love from her close ones and her fans.
Madix, 37, and her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, 40 had been together for nine years when an affair between her once close friend Raquel Leviss and Sandoval came to light in March. The scandal was coined 'Scandoval' by fans and thrust Madix into more spotlight as it garnered national headlines.

'I'm getting there, at my own pace'
While talking to People, Madix shared how she has transformed herself, her initial struggles to rebuild trust in the wake of heartbreak, and how she is tackling that in her own way. "When this first happened, I really thought, 'I don't know how I can trust anyone again," she says. However, a good friend motivated her not to lose that part and be loyal to friends, and relationships and still see good in people. "I was kind of like, 'Yeah, I don't know about that...'"
Nonetheless, the friend's words, which came about ten days after she found herself losing out, echoed in her heart as more people told her similar things. "...Her saying that, and hearing that from others too, has really helped me move forward," Madix said before adding "I'm getting there, at my own pace."
'I've been absolutely floored by the support'
"I've been absolutely floored by the support," the star told the publication. A-list stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Kristin Chenoweth, and Molly Shannon, who publicly rallied behind her. The support, both surprising and humbling, left her in awe, as she exclaimed: "There a pretty long and very incredible, mind-blowing list of people who have spoken out about it or even just have like, any knowledge of any of it at all. And I swear, every single time, my jaw is on the floor and it's me and my friends in our group chat being like, 'Are you freaking kidding me? This is insane!'"
"These are all sorts of heroes of mine. So it's just really, really wild that they even know I exist on this planet," said Madix. "Going through this in the public eye has definitely added an aspect that makes it an additionally insane experience. But the support from the public has been really amazing and has meant the absolute world to me," she added.
'It's time for me to get free and unclogged'
This comes amid her partnership with BIC EasyRinse razors as Madix says, It comes at "exactly the right time," before adding, "It's time for me to get free and unclogged." Madix further shared: "With so many exciting things going on in my life, the last thing I want to do is be standing in my shower, banging my razor against the wall, wasting water trying to unclog. So in addition to unclogging my life, I'm also unclogging my razor with Bic. It's very exciting."
'It does feel like just a completely new and amazing energy right now'
Madix describes Daniel Wai, a fitness instructor, she is reportedly "head over heels with," who she met ten days after the traumatic split at a mutual friend's wedding, as "very cute, and just the kindest person"."I think that in so many ways, not just romantically, but professionally and on so many levels, it does feel like just a completely new and amazing energy right now," said Madix.
