Who is Ari Nagel? 'Sperminator' currently has 13 women pregnant by him, fathered another 78: 'Can't say no'
Ari Nagel has earned quite the name for himself online for a strange set of reasons. On the outside, he's just another college professor based out of New York, whose dating profile reveals he drinks, works out, and is abundantly open to love. But Nagel is also quite popular as his alter-ego, "the Sperminator", having fathered 78 children so far. Another 13 women are currently pregnant thanks to his sperm donations.
Nagel, self admittedly, doesn't charge for his sperm donations that have made countless women and families happy in the last few years. During a recent appearance on 'The Dr Oz Show', Nagel was asked if he is motivated by an element of 'narcissism' to help families welcome their bundle of joys.
But the 44-year-old sperm donor claims he just has trouble saying 'no' to people asking for help. "No," Nagel replied when asked about narcissism. He added: "Maybe I'm not good at saying no. I would describe myself that way, but definitely not. I have a great life, even if I struggle financially. I get lots of hugs and kisses every single day. I think the motivation of why I help these women, in some ways, why does anyone have kids? I think in some ways I'm getting a lot of the joy and love that a lot of other parents experience."

Who is Ari Nagel?
The acclaimed sperm donor has been making headlines for some time now, having fathered 50 children already by 2018. Single, dashing, and at 6 feet 3, the Brooklyn resident opened up about how he used to conceive "the old-fashioned way" previously, by having sex with women. But the 13 women currently pregnant with Nagel's baby, all received his sperm in a cup and artificially inseminated themselves.
Nagel revealed "Around a dozen of my children were conceived the old fashioned way. Early on, when I didn't really know of another way to conceive that was the way I was going about it. But of course, now that I'm helping more than one woman in a month, it's very difficult to have unprotected sex while still being able to protect myself and the other women I'd be helping that month."
Nagel's relationship status
The Leo man's dating profile bio sees him ask "Are you ready to make love your greatest aim? I want to meet someone who will experience the joy of falling in love with me and then you will get it back in abundance." But in an interview with the New York Post, he had opened up about his 12-year-old marriage to a woman called Roxanne, against whose wishes he would keep donating his sperm to other hopeful parents.
Ari's interview in the publication, left his wife stunned. She has three children with him, aged 12, five, and two. A comment on the article, allegedly from Roxanne, shared she was "devastated" and "had no idea this was happening." Ari had described her as "livid" and "yelling at me a lot", and to justify his actions, he dubbed their marriage as a 'complicated' one and claimed they had been sleeping in separate bedrooms.
"She was never happy about all these other kids, but she tolerated it," he had said in a statement to the outlet. "She knew what was going on, she didn’t support it. She always wanted me to be a regular, traditional spouse." As for Roxanne, she commented "I have nothing to say. What’s done is done."
Nagel's 78 sperm donations
Speaking of why he began donating so frequently, Nagel said on the talk show "I have two 12-year-old kids [outside his marriage] and I think it's quite indicative of maybe the women that you have here on the show today. One was a lesbian couple and they needed help, obviously, to grow their family, and then the other one was a single woman who wasn't meeting Mr Right. She was in her 40s and she needed help and she couldn't wait any longer to meet somebody."
Nagel explained: "Then you asked me why I'm helping them. It's brought me a lot of joy seeing how happy the kids are, how happy the moms are, and seeing all these beautiful families that I was able to help grow."
Although many sperm donors never meet the children they help conceive, Nagel has maintained an active relationship with several of his. Speaking about how his services were almost penalized by the State Department of Health, Nagel told Dr Oz "Well, they wrote me that letter, certified, it went to my work. I think they just read an article in the New York Post and they said, 'What's going on here? He needs to apply to be a licensed clinic', and that I need to stop advertising my services."
Nagel's children all over the globe
Defending himself, Nagel added "But in the end, I think when I clarified what I'm actually doing, it's ultimately an infringement on every man's right, I think, to have a child. I think that they did back down, they said they reserve the right to pursue legal action in the future, but for now, I can continue doing what I'm doing, because of course, I'm not operating a licensed sperm bank."
Nagel also notes how some of the women he has donated to have requested child support. But he has always hinted that he doesn't have the means to afford to do so. "Although I struggle financially, I feel rich with joy and love and am so blessed to be a part of so many wonderful families," he told the Post in his interview.
Appearing on Claire Bryne Live in the UK to discuss his habit of donating sperm, Nagel clarified "I've never charged any of the women for helping them grow their families" either. "Of course, I do get paid with lots of hugs and kisses and a lifetime of appreciation. I get a lot of joy of being a father to so many kids. Some of them I see every day, some of them I've never met. It's up to the family."
The US donations "make it much easier", Nagel admitted, compared to his pursuits abroad. "I went to Africa twice last month to try and meet women to help them conceive. The month before that I was in Barbados and then Georgia, the country, not the state. The month before that I went to Russia, so sometimes travel is involved but the vast majority of the time they are within the US."
