Ari Lennox shuts down troll who called her and singer Teyana Taylor 'rottweilers': 'Black people are beautiful'
'Dreamville' singer Ari Lennox slammed trolls after a Twitter user called her and fellow singer Teyana Taylor "rottweilers". The obnoxious comment on social media read, "Ari Lennox and Teyana Taylor's ability to have dangerously high sex appeal while simultaneously looking like rottweilers will always amaze me."
Miffed with the comment, Lennox first retweeted it on Twitter and wrote, "People hate blackness so bad."
While many supporters backed her with tweets like "the fact that people associate black features to being 'ugly but sexy' is weird" and "getting called ugly by the same folks who be 'pro-black' and 'woke' never ceases to amaze me," Lennox wasn't done.
In another tweet on the micro-blogging platform, she wrote, "Moms and Dads please love on your beautiful black children. Tell them they’re beautiful constantly. Tell them Black people are beautiful. Tell them black features are beautiful."
What's more, she decided to stand up for herself and advocate for the Black community on Instagram Live. "I'm not f**king with that s**t at all," said Lennox.
"Why are you so comfortable tearing down Black women and no other race? Look around. When are Hispanic women ever compared to dogs? When do they do that? When do they do that to White women?"
Lennox continued, "I love Black features. I want us to get to a point where we are becoming aware of the self-hate sometimes when you are referring to Black women as a dog because we're not doing this to other races."
After Lennox's tweets, Taylor decided to respond to the situation and retweeted to Lennox saying, "No lies detected."
This is not the first time Lennox retorted against racism on social media. Earlier, she addressed trolls criticizing her nose and said, "How many times will y'all come for my black nose? It will never tf go anywhere," tweeted Lennox.
"Y’all are disgusting and the reason people self medicate and get surgery. Just f**kin stop," she added.
