Many believe that Anna did not have a say in her wedding. While a few even wondered whether the mother of seven was 'pressured' into marrying Josh. Despite Josh going to prison for possessing child pornography, Anna did not leave her husband's side. According to In Touch Weekly's report Josh and Anna are still together. In order to help her husband get past jail time easily, Anna was considering a move to the South to be closer to her husband. According to the reports, Josh believed that Anna would be influenced to leave him, however, the same did not happen. People showed support towards Anna and asked her to leave the Duggar family. But, Anna stood strong by her husband. She has also been spotted visiting her husband in the prison often.

That's what people on the internet believe. A user took to a Reddit thread to wonder, "If Anna could go back in time to June 2008. Would she still married him?" He further claimed, "It's clear she was pressured into it. I don't believe she knew the full extent of his crimes before marriage." To this, a user replied, "Yes, she wouldn’t have had a choice. The better question is would her father have allowed it. And again, the answer is yes." Another claimed Josh and Anna's marriage to be, "It was more of a business arrangement than anything else."
