However, the duo are not related to each other. Back in a tweet from 2013, Seth Rogen questioned Rogan about his name on X (previously known as Twitter).

Who is Joe Rogan’s brother?
The comedian and UFC color commentator have nothing in common other than similar-sounding surnames. But Rogan does have a relative who is rather well-known in his industry - author and singer Gerard Way.
The former 'Fear Factor' host acknowledged he is connected to Gerard during small talk with Kevin Smith on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' podcast.
Smith questioned Rogan about his connection with the well-known musician Gerard Way and whether Rosie was the name of his grandmother. In response, the UFC color commentator discussed his relationship with Way. Smith revealed that Way said the same thing to him: “I don’t have 100 % confirmation on this, but I’m pretty sure Joe Rogan is my cousin. My aunt Josie was his grandmother.”
