Apologetic Nardo Wick slammed after claiming assault by his entourage on fan 'ain't gangsta'
TAMPA, FLORIDA: Rapper Nardo Wick has issued a statement following the viral video that surfaced on social media on Tuesday, November 28, showing two members of his entourage knocking out a fan attempting to request a photo.
Wick expressed his anger on social media, claiming that he was "mad" after witnessing a member of his crew critically injure a fan, leaving him with a brain injury.
George Obregon Jr, 20, was reportedly severely beaten by the 21-year-old rapper's companions, leaving him in critical condition in the hospital, as stated by his family members.
According to police, the fan went up to Wick at 1.15 in the morning on Sunday, November 26, following his performance at Tampa, Florida's Club Skye, when he was attacked, per Daily Mail.
In an effort to draw attention to the incident, the victim's mother posted on Facebook, saying, "My son wanted a stupid f****in picture with his favorite artist!!! And this is what he gets!!! I am sick to my stomach to think about how this could have turned out!!!!"
Nardo Wick criticized the tragic incident, but claimed he can't 'control another grown man's actions'
Jacksonville rapper Wick expressed his condemnation of the terrible deeds on social media, but he said that he couldn't "control another grown man's actions."
The rapper wrote, "I don't condone what happened to my fan George after my show in any type of way, I expressed to him and his mama how sorry and concerned I was that it happened to him, multiple times before anything was even posted or on the internet."
He added, "I sent his mama my number instantly the night it happened. I was even gone make a post to try to find out who he was before his mama text me."
"I can't control another grown man actions, I ain't know that was gone happen, and I was mad when it happened," Wick continued.
"I tried to stop it as you can see in the video, and if somebody got the longer video you can see how mad I was, I love and appreciate all my fans and don't condone in what happened at all dat s**t ain't gangsta or cool in no type of way," he concluded the post.

Wick took a step further and released an apology video to his fans following the vicious attack.
Moreover, TMZ obtained Instagram messages from Wick to George's mother as well as directly to George adhering to the attack, where one can see the rapper was angry over the horrifying incident.
Wick's mother, who also serves as his manager, kept in touch with George's mother to inquire for updates regarding George's health.
According to a Tampa Police Department spokesman, the victim is in "critical, but stable condition" and the authorities are actively investigating the incident.

Internet slams Nardo Wick's apology
Despite the rapper's apology statement addressing the upsetting incident, online users have expressed discontent and slammed Wick for the same.
One such user questioned in the Instagram comment section, "This ain’t enough are you helping pay for his hospital bill?"
A second one added, "If they can’t control their emotions dont keep those type of dudes around you they’re a liability to ya brand fam."
"They’re bad for business, Nardo. They gotta go!‼️" suggested another one.
One more Instagram follower seethed, "Sometimes you gotta leave the hood where it’s at..you try bringing them along to show them life bigger and you be the one paying for the mistake smh."
Other enraged social media users took to X (formerly Twitter), to slam the rapper's apology.
"What a bad position he is in right now," wrote one such X user.
A second one added, "He fled the scene, rendered no aid, did not call 911, took the attackers with him in the suv, and refuses to give the names of the attackers to the police."
