Did AOC REALLY say Republican men want to have sex with her? BF feet tweet creates uproar
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez loves a fight, and on December 31, 2021, she decided to end the year with one of her weirdest yet. The New York Rep. attempted a takedown of former Trump advisor Steve Cortes, but it didn't exactly go the way she might have intended it to. Social media was left confused, with many questioning if she was drunk, while others backed her in the Twitter fight. At the center of it all was a photo of AOC and her boyfriend enjoying their Christmas break in Florida.
Cortes joins a long list of Republicans who have been at the receiving end of the very vocal Congresswoman. In March 2020, AOC slammed Kellyanne Conway after the then-White House counselor slammed her silence over the Sri Lanka bombings. In April 2021, Marjorie Taylor Greene dug herself into a bit of a hole after sparring with AOC over the Green New Deal, which turned into a memorable trolling session of the Republican. AOC doesn't even spare members of her own party, once even feuding with Speaker Nancy Pelosi back in 2019.

The latest to feel her wrath and wit was Cortes, who on December 31 tweeted a photo of the Congresswoman with the caption, "masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL. 2. Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals. O for 2…"
1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL.

DId AOC really say men want to have sex with her?
The tweet isn't even the first time Cortes has complained about men's feet. As one user pointed out in the replies, Cortez frequently complains about men showing off their feet in public. But rather than pick up on that, AOC decided to go in an entirely different direction. She responded to Cortes with, "If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos."

She followed that up with another tweet saying, "It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general. These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird."

It's unclear why AOC chose to tweet about "sexual frustrations", but at first look, it does appear as if she was saying that GOP men want to have sex with her. It's unclear if that's exactly what she meant, and we have no way to understand what she was trying to say until AOC herself clears the air. The response was divisive, to say the least, with the internet clearly confused about whether to back her or troll her.
Net calls comeback 'bold move'
"Bold move... when people disagree with my policy positions or call me a hypocrite, I tell them they just want to f--k me as well," one user responded to her tweet. One GOP Congressional candidate responded, "Lmao no one wants to date you. Trust me." One person asked, "How many Mai Tai’s have you had this morning?" Another called it, "what an incredibly weird thing to tweet." Another responded, "Why did your mind automatically go to “dating you” and “sex”? That’s very conceited."

Some users also came out to defend her, with one person tweeting, "It's 2022 here in Sydney Australia, and this is my favourite tweet of the new year. Calling them out like a legend AOC." Another joked, "Sandals are practically dress code in Florida. Sincerely, A Florida man." Another opined, "At some point, whether they like her or not, her critics should realize that her social media game is just superior & stop setting themselves up. They’re just stepping on the rake."

After all the debates about masks and vaccines, it seems very strange that we would end 2021 debating about feet and sandals. Hopefully, you too see the funny side of this and enjoy one last laugh before ringing in 2022.
