Despite more than six years passing since their separation, it appears that Jolie still harbors deep anger over the demise of their relationship.
According to an insider, Jolie's desire for payback against Pitt for his alleged role in the breakdown of their marriage remains strong. "The war is far from over," the source revealed. "Angie can't help herself. She still wants payback for Brad's part in ruining their marriage."
'He's had enough and won't just roll over'
The strained relationship between Pitt and Maddox, their oldest son, stems from a well-known incident that occurred in 2016 during a plane journey. Allegedly, Pitt, in a fit of drunken rage, struck Maddox when he attempted to defend his mother. Jolie filed for divorce soon after. In court documents submitted in October 2022, Jolie claimed that Pitt was heavily intoxicated on the flight and described the incident in detail. Pitt vehemently denied these allegations, stating that they were "completely untrue," as per OK! magazine.
However, Pitt is no longer willing to acquiesce to Jolie's demands. The source explained that he has gained sobriety and clarity regarding the mistakes made by both parties, leading him to stand his ground and refuse to back down. "He's had enough and won't just roll over and give Angelina what she wants," the insider added.

While the former couple continues to battle over custody arrangements for their children, even though three of them have reached legal adulthood, their ongoing disputes extend to other matters such as their shared French winery, Chateau Miraval. Despite their ongoing legal conflicts, their children have expressed their desire for their parents to put an end to the drama once and for all.
"Angelina doesn't want to let her fight for sole custody go, but the children are growing up, and even they tell their mom it's time to stop," shared the source. "The kids are fine with Brad. With maybe the exception of Maddox, they all actually like him. That really gets under Angie's skin. If she has her way, she'll continue to battle Brad for years. It's become a part of her."
