Insiders hit back at rumors Angelina Jolie was responsible for Emily Ratajkowski's split with Brad Pitt
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There was a time when Brad Pitt and Emily Ratajkowski were allegedly in a romantic relationship. Following her divorce from her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, the newly single supermodel was rumored to dating the 'Troy' actor. She apparently called off her relationship with Brad and moved on quickly as she has since been spotted with several other men. Meanwhile, the 'Salt' actress Angelina Jolie reportedly was aware of the rumors that her ex-husband was seeing the model.
There were rumors that Emily might have heard stuff from Pitt's ex-wife Jolie. The actress and Pitt have had a strained relationship since 2016 and only later opened up about the alleged abuse she endured. Some fans speculated that Jolie got acquainted with Ratajkowski, prompting the model to end things so suddenly, giving grounds to suspect a relationship with Pitt.
EmRata allegedly had a brief affair with Brad Pitt
According to The Things, the 'Maleficent' star had little chance of success even if she considered doing so. Pitt and Ratajkowski had a brief affair. They got acquainted for the first time in September, the same month that it was announced that Emily had divorced Sebastian Bear McClard due to rumors of infidelity.
The duo was merely "having fun," said a source at the time, and Ratajkowski was avoiding anything substantial due to her divorce. The source further explained, "It was unexpected and devastating […] which is why her dalliance with Brad, whom she met through mutual friends, according to insiders, is so sweet right now. It's the perfect timing right now. There is nothing like Brad Pitt cheering you up."
However, things rapidly changed as Ratajkowski was spotted kissing another man, which seemed to prove her relationship with Pitt was ended. According to sources, Pitt was taken aback by the separation. "He’s not used to being dumped or snubbed, but that’s the grim reality of what’s happened," a source added at the time.
Angelina Jolie wasn't involved in the rumored breakup
Once upon a time, Pitt and Jolie appeared to be the most stable couple in Hollywood. The couple wed at Chateau Miraval in 2014 after spending more than ten years together (and having six kids). However, following a dramatic event that apparently occurred on a private plane, Angelina filed for divorce in 2016. Since their split, Brad and Angelina were not on good terms.
There were rumors that Pitt and Jolie were at odds in 2017. Given this, it was unlikely that the duo would speak to each other more than needed. So it seemed unlikely that she would approach his (rumored) girlfriend. There is no reason to suppose Jolie and EmRata had discussed the supermodel's romance with Brad because there is no proof that the two ever contacted each other.
Emily Ratajkowski allegedly dating Harry Styles
Pitt and Ratajkowski both seem to have swiftly moved over their rumored relationship because they are dating new people. While Ratajkowski is supposedly seeing Harry Styles after dating Pete Davidson, Pitt has been going strong with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since late 2022. Ratajkowski apparently admitted that she has been seeing Styles in secret for two months and even agreed that he might be "the one." During an open and candid conversation about her love life, the 31-year-old supermodel confessed that she has been seeing the 29-year-old singer since the start of February.
During a podcast interview on March 9, barely two weeks before she made news for kissing Styles in public on March 25, Ratajkowski expressed her expectations for a long-term relationship. "I just started dating someone that I think I like, so that is different. I was like, 'He's kind of great,'" Ratajkowski stated during a guest appearance on the podcast 'Going Mental with Eileen Kelly'. Following their passionate make-out session on the streets of Tokyo, Ratajkowski has become the subject of online critics. The supermodel and the singer were seen engaging in intense PDA while seeming unconcerned that they were in full view of spectators.
