'I'm gonna start crying': Angelina Jolie gets emotional dropping daughter Zahara off at college
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: With another one of her children going off into the world, mom Angelina Jolie was seen dropping her daughter off at Spelman College on move-in day. Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 17, is the third of six children shared by Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt.
A video was shared by Daryl Holloman, the vice president for student affairs at Spelman College, where Jolie can be seen with Dr Helene Gayle, president of the school. An emotional Jolie shared her excitement when asked how it felt to be a Spelman mom. "I'm gonna start crying! I have not started crying yet," she said. Earlier, dad Pitt had also expressed his delight in his daughter's achievements, saying, "She's so smart. She's going to flourish even more at college."

The post featured pictures of Jolie with Dr Gayle, and another of Jolie, Zahara and Holloman. It was posted by the latter on Instagram. In the video on the second slide, Dr Gayle can be heard telling an emotional Jolie that there was plenty of time to cry as the ceremony is designed to "purposely induce" tears. On being asked to "bring it all out", the mom of six said she’s just "holding it together."
The 'Changeling' star was seen sporting a black ensemble, complete with a mask and sliders of the same shade. Her daughter paired a pair of denim jeans with a green top and black mask. Although Pitt was not present with his daughter and ex-wife, he was earlier heard saying, "I'm so proud of her." Notably, Spelman College, located in Atlanta, boasts an expansive alumni list. Founded in 1881, it is America's oldest private, historically Black, women's liberal arts college.
Earlier on July 31, Jolie announced that Zahara will be joining the prestigious women's liberal arts college. In an Instagram post, Zahara can be seen with her fellow Spelman sisters. Congratulating her daughter on the accomplishment, the actress captioned the image: "Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl."
In addition to Zahara, Jolie shares Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, with her ex-husbandvPitt.
