Angelina Jolie still does not want to be friends with former husband Brad Pitt almost three years after the couple split in September 2016.

The Academy Award winner has "bitter" feelings towards the 'Ad Astra' star and blames him for turning the lives of their six children upside down, sources close to the couple told Us Weekly.

Furthermore, the outlet reported that Jolie never really wanted to marry Pitt and has now decided to never marry again. Instead, she wants to focus on her children Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

One source claimed the 'Maleficent' star is still not willing to let bygones be bygones. "Angelina still has a lot of resentment toward Brad," the source said. "She wants him to be held accountable because she feels he turned her and the children's lives upside down."

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, the 44-year-old beauty had said that while she would love to live abroad, she is forced to live where Brad wants her for the sake of their children. Many saw this as Jolie lashing out at her former husband.

According to the report, her remarks portrayed Pitt as the one making decisions for the family while impinging on her independence and calling the shots for her future.

"Before the divorce, the entire family led a very nomadic existence, and that was because of Angie's restlessness," a second source said. "Brad wanted the kids to have stability while Angie always said they were giving the children an idyllic childhood by exposing them to different countries, languages, and experiences."

Ever since the pair split in September 2016 due to irreconcilable differences, they have not been spotted together.

That said, they are yet to finalize their divorce and still share physical and legal custody of the children.
