Angelina Jolie 'banned' Jennifer Aniston from seeing her kids after Brad Pitt mocked their failed marriage
Recent reports of a romance brewing between Brad Pitt and his first wife, Jennifer Aniston, is allegedly making his second wife, Angelina Jolie "furious."
The rumors of the rekindled love story began after Pitt graced the 'Friends' star's 50th birthday bash last year. After sparks flew between the two, the pair reportedly went on at least five secret dates, including a tryst at Aniston's home over Christmas.
When talk of a reunion between the ex-spouses first started circulating earlier this year, Jolie was apparently not bothered much. "Angelina doesn’t care about Jen and Brad’s reunion… she already knew that they were friends and isn’t going to let it eat at her," a source close to the Hollywood actress said, Mirror reported. "She’s moving on. She’s not going to let it sting."
Circumstances took a turn when Pitt seemed to poke fun at his failed marriage with the 'Maleficent' actress at the SAG Awards while receiving Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood' on January 19. "This role was a bit of a stretch. Guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, doesn’t get along with his wife," he said in his speech, which received roaring laughter from the audience, which also included Aniston.
“Angelina won’t be happy – it feels hugely disrespectful to her to make a joke out of their marriage problems in front of a room full of their peers. She’d never do that to him," a source told The Sun. "And Brad’s very public reunion with Jen will also feel hurtful to her – it’s almost like, throughout their marriage, the public seemed to want Brad to get back with Jen.”
Pitt was also seen mouthing the words "oh my God" during Aniston's acceptance speech at the SAG Awards, and they were later seen holding hands backstage. When she was asked about how she felt seeing Brad that evening, she sweetly replied, "It just feels like a really fun night to cheer each other on. We’ve all grown up together, we really have."
Things worsened when it was reported that Aniston helped Shiloh land a small role in the upcoming 'The Goree Girls' where she would co-star with Aniston.
“After Jen revealed there was a small role for Shiloh, Brad managed to get Ange to agree on the basis filming wouldn’t interfere with her studies. But Ange is apparently furious – even more so given her daughter will be starring alongside Brad’s first wife,” an insider said. “While contract is yet to be signed, Brad’s hoping Ange does not pull any last-minute stunts."
A "furious" Jolie reportedly banned Aniston from spending time with her and Brad's children: Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and Vivienne and Knox, both 11.
“Angelina has privately demanded that Jen be banned from seeing her kids," an insider told Australian magazine, Woman's Day, claiming she's filed for sole custody.
“It’s come as a huge shock to everyone. Brad has just started to feel like his life was back on track after three years of hell and he was hoping the divorce would be finalized by May. So this latest curveball has got him questioning what else he could possibly do to prove the kids are his number one priority."
