It is a common occurrence for celebrities to be linked with rock bands. Be it actors who are major aficionados or those who actually jam with bands, there have always been celebrities who share bonds with musicians. Andrew Lincoln is one of them. The charismatic English actor will next be seen in 'Penguin Bloom' alongside Naomi Watts and ahead of the film, he's garnering headlines for his big-screen flick.

As far as a rock band connection goes, Jethro Tull is a name that comes up often while discussing 'The Walking Dead' star. More than just a music connection, Lincoln happens to be married to the daughter of legendary Jethro Tull founder, flutist, and vocalist Ian Anderson.

The 'Love Actually' star married Gael Anderson in 2006. He has two children with her, Matilda and Arthur. According to Pandagossips, the duo met on the set of 'Teachers', a British TV comedy-drama series. Anderson was a runner and Lincoln, in addition to starring also guest-directed a few episodes, according to the site. The couple currently lives in London.

Jethro Tull as a band needs no introduction. The Lancashire band, formed in 1967, started off with blues-rock and jazz fusion before bringing in elements of hard rock and folk to forge a progressive rock signature. Their 1969 album 'Stand Up' saw them rocket to fame as it became the No.1 album in the UK. The band toured till 2011 with Anderson and longtime guitarist Martin Barr continuing to record and tour, but as solo artistes.

According to Billboard, Anderson said the band "came more or less to an end" in 2014. "To me, Jethro Tull is...the vast body of repertoire that's Jethro Tull, the record catalog, the music, and I think that, if we look back on it, it kind of came more or less to an end during the last 10 years or so (with) a couple of live albums and a studio album of Christmas material. That might define the last albums under the name Jethro Tull," he said.

Coming back to Lincoln, the English actor was last seen in 'The Walking Dead', one of AMC's longest and successful zombie-horror dramas that boasts of a loyal and solid fanbase. He left the show in 2018 but will reprise his role as the titular character Rick Grimes in the standalone trilogy of 'The Walking Dead' films.

The actor will next be seen in 'Penguin Bloom', a drama film based on a novel of the same name by Bradley Trevor Greive. It follows Cameron Bloom (Lincoln) a photographer who sees his wife, Sam (Naomi Watts) become paralyzed after an accident during their vacation. The shattered family then finds hope and solace in an injured magpie chick.

'Penguin Bloom' releases on January 27, 2021, on Netflix.
