Former NBA star Andrew Bogut has sparked outrage after not only attacking Kendall Jenner with misogynistic remarks but doubling down on his comments with a sarcastic apology. Jenner, 26, is known for being attracted to NBA players, and she's not afraid to admit that she has a type.

Over the years, she has dated hoop stars such as Jordan Clarkson, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Devin Booker. However, the recent attacks from Bogut, 37, against the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star were widely criticized by his fans and followers.

The 7-foot-tall center faced a swift backlash for his misogynistic, slut-shaming remarks, but instead of taking back his comments and apologizing, Bogut quote tweeted the same message five days later on Tuesday, June 28, with an additional, thinly-veiled dig at Jenner. Referencing her recent breakup from NBA star Devin Booker, he wrote, “I would like to formally apologize for this tweet. My scout take forgot to include the elite level of rebounding. I will do better in the future.”

Social media was inundated with criticisms of Bogut after he doubled down on his comments. "This is an awful way to speak about a woman," one Twitter user responded to the former athlete. "This is some misogynistic sh*t to tweet about Kendall Jenner. I don’t care if you do have a blue mark or don’t like her. @NBA," another wrote. "Right, this is what you think is fine for a woman? Let’s try it on your wife Jessica - Solid talent, versatile. ?? marks around team culture. Doctors will need to do medical as the body has been banged up, from two kids and dealing with your old middle-aged teaspoon. Funny?? Nope," a comment read.

"Tell us Kendall Jenner rejected you without telling us Kendall Jenner rejected you," someone else alleged. "This isn’t your best work. We need to be better than this," another offered.

Jenner has not responded to Bogut's remarks, but she rejected the idea that she “only dates basketball players” during the KUWTK reunion in June 2021. “No, I don’t actually only date basketball players, if anyone’s ever done their research,” the 818 Tequila founder said at the time, adding, “I’m not ashamed that I have a type, and I’m also a genuine basketball fan. So, that just kind of has happened.”

It's worth noting that while the model has dated a number of NBA players, she has also been linked to singers Harry Styles and Nick Jonas. Jenner broke up with Booker earlier this month after two years together, but the Kardashians star is reportedly still on good terms with the NBA All-Star. The two are “taking this time to focus on themselves and figure out if a future together is what’s meant to be,” an insider told Us Weekly on June 22. However, less than a week later, the magazine reported how the former couple was spotted laughing together while in Malibu.
