Andie MacDowell says daughter Margaret Qualley and Pete Davidson have a 'beautiful relationship'
The last two years have not been very kind to Pete Davidson as far as romance is concerned as his whirlwind romances with Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale did not pan out. However, he may be third-time lucky with 'Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood' actress Margaret Qualley.
At least, that's the view from Qualley's mother Andie MacDowell, who told People she is all for her 24-year-old daughter's romance with the 25-year-old 'Saturday Night Live' comedian. The 61-year-old said the couple have a "beautiful relationship."
Speaking at the L'Oreal fashion show in Paris on Saturday, MacDowell admitted she and Davidson "haven't met" yet but said she had talked to him over a video call. "I FaceTimed with Pete the other day... No, she took a video of me to send to Pete... That’s what it was," she revealed.
"She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don’t want to step on her relationship too much," she continued. "They have a nice relationship.”
Qualley and Davidson have been spotted together on numerous occasions recently, with a source telling People that the couple looked "very happy" together as they touched down at the Marco Polo airport in Venice earlier this month.
"They were on the same flight and seemed very happy," the source said. "It was clear that they were together. They were very smiley and flirty. Some fans approached them and they happily signed autographs. They left the airport together for the same hotel."
The next day, the pair were photographed together at the premiere of Qualley's 'Seberg' at the Venice Film Festival. Davidson was snapped looking admiringly at Qualley, who was sporting a pink chiffon gown, as she took her costar Anthony Mackey's hand for support to stand up.
On Labor Day, they were once again spotted together as they took a walk through the streets of Venice while holding hands.
