LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The DJ on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', Stephen "tWitch" Boss, has died at the age of 40. The DJ died by suicide, according to TMZ.
On Tuesday, December 13, Boss's wife Allison Holker reportedly ran into an LAPD station as she was suspicious of him unusually leaving home without his car, according to a law enforcement source. Later, cops received a call informing them of a shooting at an LA hotel. On arrival, the cops found Boss dead from a gunshot wound.

The DJ's wife Allison confirmed his death in a statement and said, "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” reports People.
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
She added, "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”
Holker concluded, "Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
Popularly called 'tWitch', Boss began his TV career as a dancer on 'So You Think You Can Dance'. For Season 4 of the show in 2008, he was the runner-up. On Season 10, he appeared as an all-star.
Boss rose to public attention in 2014 through his regular appearance as a DJ on DeGeneres' talk show. In 2020, he eventually took up the role of the show's executive producer. Until the end of the show in 2022, Boss worked with her.
The TV personality is survived by his wife and their three children, Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3.
