The 2019's Met Gala had the world critiquing the biggest fashion night that takes place annually at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art the first Monday of May. From Lady Gaga's flamboyant and grand entrance with four major Brandon Maxwell outfit transformations to Rihanna's mysterious absence, all steps and movements were taken note of.
However, the entrance though full of grandeur isn't the end of the night for all the glammed-up A-list celebrities. While it's yet another mystery as to what actually happens at the fundraising Gala, the after parties are as star-studded events as the Met.
In 2019, suffice to say it was even more lit and fans are bursting with curiosity because there were so many after parties and it was a matter of much interest as to which ones were attended by which celebrity.
Seems like the celebs were scattered over town as Karlie Kloss, Gwen Stefani, Maluma, Christian Combs and Lana Candor attended Katy Perry's Moschino after-party at The Standard hotel, while Kim Kardashian hosted her own big bash alongside Gigi Hadid, Kanye West, Hailey Bieber, Travis Scott, Winnie Harlow and Lewis Hamilton.
Hope you haven't given up critiquing their looks because brace yourself! There's more to judge.
Kim Kardashian: Dripping diamonds
Drip, drip, dripping! Kim Kardashian switched her sultry nude and now controversial dress for a surreal blue latex dress adorned with crystal embellishments. Flaunting her killer curves, the body tight mini dress featured a plunging neckline right down till her belly button.
Fringed with dripping silver embellishments, the 38-year-old reality star paired the dress with the same color latex boots and a silver shiny crystal wig, making us visualize a 21st century Cleopatra. Both her outfits at the Met 2019 was custom-designed by Manfred Thierry Mugler.
Hailey Baldwin: Ponytail princess
Hailey was resolute the "Camp" theme actually meant super casual pastel color. Switching from her baby pink Alexander Wang gown, the 22-year-old model was spotted arriving at Kim Kardashian's bash wearing an oversized shirt, paired with sparkly elastic shorts. Some even mistook it for pajamas.
Her hairstyle and makeup were reminiscent of her Met Gala look, but the only difference was, she looked super comfortable. The glam factor was added by studded PVC shoes from Wang's Nova collection.
Kendall Jenner: Casual chic
Very similar to Baldwin's after party look, Kendall Jenner switched her long feathery Versace gown for an easy white mini suit. The supermodel's cocktail dress featured a structured white blazer and a short mini skirt. Her hair remained similar to the look of the evening as she strutted in a slick ponytail carrying a Chanel disco bag.
Celine Dion: Tassel queen
After dazzling the Met in tassels wearing a plunging gold Oscar de la Renta gown and a feathered headpiece, Celine Dion continued to channel her showgirl vibe as she flaunted a silver fringed minidress at the Boom Boom Room afterparty in New York on Monday.
Katy Perry: A total snack
Looking like a chandelier in a Moschino costume wasn't "campy" enough for the 'Roar' singer so next thing we knew Katy Perry was a hamburger at an after party. Turning heads and pretty much rendering the fun of the after party, Perry took a lot of candid pictures looking like a total snack.
Winnie Harlow: Jungle Queen
Winnie Harlow made the Met afterparty in a full-fledged leopard outfit. The model switched from her Caribbean carnival-inspired and heavily embellished outfit to a costume which would make you think it's Halloween. The model flaunted her lean body in a sheer jumpsuit, corset belt, and thigh-high boots.
Benedict Cumberbatch: White Sherlock
Benedict Cumberbatch unhesitatingly rocked a white three-piece suit with a white fedora, an emerald green brooch and a walking stick at the Met carpet. His afterparty look remained the same, white bespoke Labassa Woolfe, but instead of a fedora, he had his shades on. Too many paps after all!
Kate Moss: Rainbow Barbie
Kate Moss added much color to the after party at the Standard Hotel in a vibrant geometric print minidress. The 45-year-old supermodel flaunted splashes of vivid purple, pink, green, yellow and embellished cuffs.
Gigi Hadid: Ice Queen
Gigi Hadid could not let go of her Ice Queen alter ego so she let the outfit stay on for the after party- only minus the long-feathered coat. With the Michael Kors catsuit intact, the 23-year-old model rocked Kim K's bash.
