'American Idol' Season 22: 'Dutch Idol' star Ziggy's bullying story leaves judge Luke Bryan emotional
SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: The most vibrant and colorful contestant of 'American Idol' Season 22 evoked an emotional response from the judges. Ziggy Krassenberg, a pop star hopeful, delivered a captivating introduction during his audition, stating, "I think the Netherlands is too small for me; that's why I had to come to America to show the world what I can do."
Ziggy acknowledged being a big personality in the Netherlands due to his participation in 'Dutch Idol'. However, he shared that he's not the most likable one.
He emotionally revealed that in the Netherlands, people mock his identity by calling him "cotton candy" who can do anything. This revelation left judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie shocked.

Luke believed that if he had met Ziggy seven years ago, his first thought would have been, "Who is that crazy person?" Now, his perspective has shifted, and he sees Ziggy's audition as "one of the best" of the day. Katy consoled Luke by rubbing his shoulders, as the 'American Idol' judge became emotional hearing Ziggy's story.
