'American Idol’ Hollywood Week: Fans dub Nicolina's singing 'better than platinum ticket holders'

Nicolina continued her dominance with her rendition of Billie Eilish’s ‘Everything I Wanted’ during the latest episode of the show

Teen singer Nicolina was one of the final performers of the evening during Hollywood Week of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 and she proved to be one of the highlights of the episode after she delivered an enthralling performance on Billie Eilish’s ‘Everything I Wanted’. The Canadian native appeared in the pop genre and sailed through the next round but not before Katy Perry made her sweat.
 
Nicolina, who won the golden ticket in the auditions for her rendition of ‘She Used to Be Mine’ by Sara Bareilles continued her dominance with her latest performance. Nicolina took the live audience on an emotional ride as they gave her a standing ovation. When it came to results, Katy decided to give it a little twist after she split the group of four into front and back row. Nicolina ended up in the back row when Katy said, “Front row, you are going through “which left Nicolina shocked. However, Katy after a dramatic pause added, “Back row, you are also going through” leaving everyone relieved. For the unversed, Nicolina had also reportedly auditioned for Season 16 of ‘American Idol’ but could not advance to the live shows. Her audition too was not aired on television.

Social media users dubbed Nicolina the dark horse of the competition while also claiming that she was better than all the platinum singers. “She was awesome. With Good mentoring she will be in the top 10 wishing you luck Nikki”, said one user as another posted, “That's your winner right there! ... A lot of people can sing but to sing and make people feel.. Not everyone can pull that off. Nicolina is the President of that club!!” The next one posted, “Nicolina was the only one tonight that gave me chills. WHAT A VOICE!! WHAT FEELING!! YAY!!!!!”
 
Meanwhile, one posted, “Nicolina and Katyrah are better than all of the platinum ticket singers.” One person asserted, “Nicolina takes me on a journey every time she sings. Full of emotion, whispering some notes while wailing others. Exciting and touching. She really bites into the story and puts it across. #AmericanIdol #Hollywoodweek This is the new bar!” And, another concluded, “Nicolina is a dark horse in this competition, it’s gonna all come down to song choice with her though.”
