'American Idol': Katy Perry falls off her judge's chair, fans say 'cannot wait for the meme'

From wardrobe malfunctions to chair falls, 'American Idol' judge Katy Perry is making sure that the show's audience remains entertained even during the tensest moments of ABC's singing competition show. As the competition amongst the contestants is reaching a cut-throat phase during the Top 10 round, Katy managed to provide some much-needed comic relief by dressing up as Ariel to honor the Disney Week on the ABC show.

Clad in a skin-tight costume with long fins at the hem, and a red wig, Katy looked like a spitting image of Ariel from 'The Little Mermaid'. Sadly, just like Ariel, Katy too struggled to walk thanks to her massive fins. So, she had to be wheeled onto the stage by her fellow judges- Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. After finally making it to her judges' seat and sliding into it, Katy barely made herself comfortable before she topped off her chair.

While Luke, Lionel, and the show's host Ryan Seacrest rushed to help Katy up and ensure she was alright, fans, on the other hand, were amused by the judge's fall on national television. Once Katy assured everybody that she was fine and wasn't hurt, fans took to Twitter to joke about her hilarious fall. A fan tweeted, "What is going on Katy! Lmao #americanidol." "Oh no! @katyperry just fell down on live TV! She might need two chairs to support her fins #AmericanIdol," wrote a fan. Another fan commented, "I’m glad Katy is okay but please tell me someone got her fall on video #AmericanIdol." "@katyperry babe I’m starting to think the tail wasn’t the *best* idea…but I’m still living for it #AmericanIdol," added a fan.
