Looks like Amber Heard isn't shying away from the limelight even after the audiotape leaks that have provoked outrage and triggered the '#JusticeForJohnny' trend on Twitter.  The 'Aquaman' star turned up at the Film Independent Spirit Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on February 8. She was there supporting her co-star Elisabeth Moss who was nominated for 'Her Smell'. Moss lost the 'Best Actress' prize to Renée Zellweger who won the award for 'Judy'.

Basking in the sunlight and smiling at the cameras, Amber Heard looked stylish in a fluttering butterfly print, slim-cut Fendi suit. The outfit was decorated with hypnotizing black and white stripes that framed gray butterfly designs, and it had baggy, scrunched up sleeves. Heard accessorized with Bulgari necklaces and bracelets and wore her long blonde locks in a loosely braided ponytail resting over one shoulder.

This was the first red carpet event attended by the 33-year-old actress after leaked audio recordings revealed her admitting to hitting her ex-husband Johnny Depp. The tapes record her attempts to downplay the physical violence she unleashed on Depp.

"I'm sorry that I didn't hit you across the face in a proper slap, but I was hitting you, it was not punching you. Babe, you're not punched," she said to her then-husband. "I don't know what the motion of my actual hand was, but you're fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you." She also called Depp a "baby" and told him to "grow the f*** up".

In another audio, she taunts Depp about trying to convince people that he was a victim of domestic violence. In this exchange, she said: "Tell the world, Johnny, tell them... I, Johnny Depp, a man, I'm a victim too of domestic violence... and see how many people believe or side with you". Heard added: "You're bigger and you're stronger... I was a 115lb woman... You're going to get up on the stand, Johnny, and say, 'she started it'? Really? I have never been able to overpower you... there's a jury and there's a judge will see that there's a very big difference between me and you."
