Amber Heard drops first Instagram post since Johnny Depp trial, calls return to spotlight 'unforgettable'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amber Heard is excited as she makes her return to the spotlight after almost a year. The ‘Aquaman’ star posted an Instagram update after months and thanked fans with a picture of her onstage interview at the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Italy. She was promoting her new movie ‘In The Fire.’ “Thank you for such an incredibly warm reception at the Taormina Film Festival for my latest movie 'In the Fire.' It was an unforgettable weekend. #InTheFire,” Heard captioned. This was her public appearance post-infamous defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp, reported People.
The director of her latest flick Conor Allyn lauded Heard. “I’m so happy that Amber went through something so awful and it didn’t change her as a person," he said. Allyn told Deadline, “She’s still the shining light that we explained earlier and to go through something that terrible and be able to come out the other side and be whole, well I can’t imagine it.” He also noticed Heard’s other potential, "As a director, I never look for more competition than there already is. But Amber absolutely has the ability and the intelligence and the charisma to direct or to write if she wants to," he said.

'You have to give credit for the incredible journey'
Heard's co-star Luca Calvani, during the premiere of ‘In The Fire,’ added, “She’s a star and she has that light. She glows and she pulls you in and she shares it with everybody. The last person on set will feel it and feel a connection with her,” according to Deadline.
The Italian actor added, “Anyone that suffers that sort of ordeal and is able to overcome it with grace, no matter what side you’re on, no matter what you believe or which social media [outlet] you plug into or whatever your hashtags are, you have to give credit for the incredible journey this woman has been through and she can teach us all a couple of things as far as resilience and courage.”
