'I'm a natural mama': Alicia Silverstone reveals that her son Bear, 11, still sleeps in her bed
Alicia Silverstone, best known for her iconic performance in the film 'Clueless', appears to be starting a trend for parents in the modern world. Silverstone has garnered media attention for her thoughts on childbirth and parenting for a good few years, including her support for orgasmic childbirth and elimination communication as well as her argument that disposable diapers are "fueled by corporate-backed pseudoscience."
On Tuesday, July 19, the actress, 45, spoke about her attachment parenting philosophy on 'The Ellen Fisher Podcast,' adding, "Bear and I still sleep together." Silverstone, who has an 11-year-old son named Bear Blu with her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, joked that she would "get in trouble" for disclosing this information, but she swiftly brushed it off by saying, "I don't really care."

The native Californian continued by outlining her "elimination communication" strategies for raising Bear and revealed that she hardly ever used diapers while potty training the little child. Silverstone, on the other hand, "watch[ed] his cues" to determine when he needed to use the restroom.
"It's so awesome. It's so easy. When I was done feeding him, he would go to the bathroom in the toilet. When he woke up from a nap, he went to the bathroom," Silverstone said. "There was a period of time where I was watching him naked and watching the cues."
"The cues part for me was really fun because I thought that he was flirting with me because he would do this little smile. That's when he had to pee," Silverstone remarked. She noted that although her ex-husband Jarecki, 45, initially disparaged her parenting methods as "hippie s***," he eventually came around and started "loving" her unique techniques.
