Who is Alicia Kenny? Ohio woman who went missing after going for a walk found SAFE
LOVELAND, OHIO: A 23-year-old woman who went missing after she left home to go on a walk has been found safe. Alicia Kenny, of Loveland, Ohio, did not return home but her backpack was found abandoned. She had been listed as a “critical missing person” after disappearing late Saturday, June 11.
According to Kenny's mother Marcy, her daughter lives with her grandparents and went for a walk on Saturday, as she often did. She would frequently go to local parks to write or draw. “It’s just really hard to think about what could happen,” Marcy Kenny told WLWT. “She’s just gone.”

Before Kenny was reported missing, her backpack was discovered by a delivery driver at a subdivision in Loveland. The driver took it to cops, and police in Montgomery later dropped it off at Kenny’s home. “And that’s when everybody realized that she wasn’t there, that when she left on Saturday night, she had never come home,” Marcy Kenny said. “In the backpack were her phone, her ID, her wallet, everything.”
Loveland, Ohio City Government has now said in a statement on social media that Kenny has been found safe. "Alicia Kenny was found this afternoon safe and unharmed and is currently in the care of her family members. The Loveland Police Department would like to thank our law enforcement partners the Ohio Bureau Of Criminal Investigations and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for their extensive assistance with resources and agents, as well as help from the community. The involved law enforcement agencies worked long hours in challenging weather conditions to bring Alicia home," they wrote on Facebook.
Who is Alicia Kenny?
Not much is known about Kenny except that she was "very religious" and would never go anywhere without her backpack, according to her mother. She carried her Bible in it, her mother said. “That’s something that’s extremely close to her heart,” she claimed.
WCPO reported that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation had joined the search for missing kenny. Kenny, who had no known vehicle, is roughly 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. Police had confirmed that she was last seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt and sandals. At the time of her disappearance, Marcy told the outlet that an item with Kenny's DNA on it had been recovered by investigators.
“All she has is literally the clothes on her back,” Marcy Kenny said. “Without that backpack, she has absolutely nothing. And I honestly … we can’t think of any scenario where she would have put the backpack down and walked away willingly.” Marcy added, "In case she’s found, they want to be prepared. And just the thought of that takes us to a very deep and dark place that we try hard to avoid. The storms that hit [Tuesday] night, if she was out there alone … that’s a very painful thought.”
Kenny's friend, Lauren Messenger, sought help to find her in a post on Facebook. "She left home to go on a walk & never returned. She called people asking for a ride, and to our knowledge was never picked up by one of her friends. Her belongings were found in her backpack which was abandoned and picked up by a UPS driver on their route," she had written on Facebook. "She was wearing a white shirt with dark pants and sandals when she went for her walk. Alicia frequents parks & nature preserves. She LOVES to be in nature. Please contact Loveland Police with any tips / info. If you see her, please call 911 immediately. Even if you believe its her and not sure, please call!!!!" Lauren has now updated the post saying Kenny has been found safe.
