Taylor Pomaski: Human remains found in Texas identified as missing GF of ex-NFL player Kevin Ware
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: Texas officials identified the remains of Taylor Pomaski, a woman who has been reported missing since May 2021. Pomaski was the girlfriend of the ex-NFL player Kevin Ware, as confirmed by Harry County Sheriff's Office Senior Deputy Thomas Gilliland.
The remains that were located during a Harris County search in the north towards the end of 2021, belonged to a 29-year-old female, as Gilliland confirmed the same in a mail he sent to PEOPLE. He also said that the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has determined it officially.

The senior deputy wrote in his mail, "The investigation is still open and active and homicide investigators are diligent on bringing this case to a close." As per KPRC-TV, deputies have said that no suspects have been arrested as of now in connection to the Pomaski case. The cause of death, the results of the toxicology report and other official statements are yet to be disclosed, as per the outlet.
The outlet shared in June 2021 that Pomaski's family had reported her missing since mid-May that year. The 29-year-old's family told authorities and officials that they suspected their daughter was in possible danger.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said that Pomaski was last seen on April 25, 2021, when she had a party at her Stallion Brooks Lane home in Spring, Texas. Investigators seem to think that Pomaski may have been a victim of foul play. Pomaski's father Stephen Pomaski, during an interview with ABC-13, said that the family realized they had not spoken to Taylor since April. They realized this on the occasion of Mother's Day.
He told the news station, "It kind of hit us early in the day. We haven't heard from her in a week and a half, two weeks at this point."
On the other hand, Taylor Pomaski's boyfriend and ex-NFL player Kevin Ware was arrested in April in Montgomery County and was charged with two counts of possession with the intention of delivering a controlled substance, in addition to unlawfully possessing a firearm as a felon.
Five days before Pomaski's disappearance, on April 20, 2021, the former San Franciso 49er was released on a $23,000 bond. Ware was arrested for a second time on June 11 for failing to appear in court and check in with the probation office. As reported by KPRC-TV, a judge ordered Ware to be held without bail. In December 2021, Pomaski's remains were discovered as investigators and Texas EquuSearch combed through an unidentified site in northern Harris County.
Investigators were not immediately able to identify the remains but believed they were connected to Pomaski's disappearance. Ware currently remains in Montgomery County Jail, according to inmate records.
