Who is Alexis Butcher's husband?
Alexis Slifer got married to Carson Charles four years ago and the couple resides together in Ohio. Carson works as the Content Director for the band 'Our Last Night' while he also describes himself as a 'Show Pony' for 'El Ray'.
The couple appears to be very much in love and is dealing with all the ups and downs of life together. Recalling a romantic memory from a year ago, Butcher said, "I remember coming home from work and my husband had bought me this pink dress, and it was laying out on the bed. He told me that he had made a reservation for dinner for my birthday. We went to The Standard in downtown Nashville, and it was just the most perfect night."
A month later, they found out that Alexis was pregnant, and a few months after that, her breast cancer was diagnosed. "When you're pregnant, your body is just always changing, so we didn't specifically realize that the lump was an issue or something problematic until my second trimester. I called my OB/GYN and she had me immediately rush over because it had grown. I mean, it was the size of an egg, and it was hard and painful," she recounted.
She further continued, "I remember that it was all very bizarre, because before the doctor even called with the results, I already felt like I knew. In that moment, we had no answers when it came to the breast cancer. All we knew was, yes, it was breast cancer. It was a really painful but beautiful night."
On May 22, 2021, Slifer Butcher welcomed her baby girl Lila via emergency cesarean section. The baby was born two months premature but is presently healthy and happy. "She is just the best baby," the elated mother shared, "She really doesn't even cry. She's just the best, sweet little thing." Meanwhile, Alexis Slifer Butcher is also gearing up for her final chemotherapy treatment, scheduled in a few weeks.
