Nicky Trebek

Nicky Trebek was 6-years-old when she was adopted by Alex Trebek after he married her mother in the year 1974, as published by the website Inquisitr. According to the site Heavy.com, Nicky was born in Toronto but raised in Hollywood, as mentioned in her IMDb profile. She gradually followed in her dad’s footsteps after she visited ‘Jeopardy’ set in 1984 when the show first began. According to her IMDb page, Nicky returned to the set in 2015 where she took care of the production department. Apart from the TV show responsibilities, Nicky also exhibited her skills in singing and modeling. According to Inquisitr, Nicky bagged modeling assignments for Vogue, Cosmo, Mademoiselle, Glamour, Self and Allure magazines. She has also designed clothes for her own brand known as Rock Idol.  Nicky was always close to her father and they shared a great bond all his life.

Matthew Trebek

Matthew Trebek, who also goes by the name of Matt, is Alex and Jean’s son born in 1990. He opted for a different career route as he stepped into hospitality after becoming a certified mixologist, following a similar path to his grandfather who was a chef in Canada, as reported by Inquisitr. He currently runs three restaurants in Harlem, New York namely Oso, Lucille’s Coffee & Cocktails, and Pizza By Lucille’s. When he opened his first restaurant, Oso, which serves Mexican street food and craft cocktails, Matt spilled the beans to Fordham News that he does not get his sense of taste from his dad.  According to Heavy.com, Matthew got a townhouse in Harlem for $1.92 million which was a gift from his father in July 2015.

While talking about her father, in the Jeopardy! interview, she had earlier said, “I don’t have words to express how much it means to me that he helped. Just telling him how much I appreciate it and how much I thank him for guiding me through this and helping me sounds so insignificant. I don’t have the words to make it sound as significant as I feel.”
