Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria announce fifth pregnancy months after suffering heartbreaking miscarriage: 'God is good'
Alec Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, announced on Wednesday that she was pregnant with the couple's fifth child just five months after experiencing a heartbreaking miscarriage.
Sharing a video of her unborn baby's heartbeat, the 35-year-old yoga instructor said that she was "still very early" in her pregnancy but she was sharing the good news with the world because she did not want to hide it. "It is still very early...but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me. The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy—especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring," she captioned the heartwarming video.
She added: "These first few months are tough with exhaustion and nausea...and I don’t want to have to pretend that I feel ok..."
Alec, 61, reposted the same heartbeat video on his own Instagram account on Wednesday. “Well, I am delighted to say, ‘Uno mas Baldwinito,’" he wrote. “God is good.”
The wife of the 61-year-old actor went onto urge the media and the rest of the public to respect her privacy as it can be really stressful in her condition. "My one request is that the media not send paparazzi to follow me or buy independent paparazzi photos, hence encouraging them. I want to remain peaceful during this very early time in my pregnancy and getting chased around by cameras is not in the doctor’s orders," she wrote.
Hilaria also posted a selfie, posing in front of the mirror, showing off her baby bump in a black jumpsuit. "When you’ve had so many babies, 6 minutes pregnant = looking like 6 months pregnant," she joked in the caption.
Back in April, Hilaria had taken to Instagram to post an image of herself in her lingerie holding a small baby bump, revealing that she was "most likely experiencing a miscarriage." She confirmed the news days later by sharing a family photo, after a visit to the doctor.
"There was no heartbeat today at my scan...so it's over...but I have some pretty strong and amazing heartbeats right here," she wrote in a heartbreaking caption. "I am surrounded by such love and I feel so fortunate. Thank you all for listening, for your support, and for sharing your own personal stories. We are stronger together...I hope this conversation continues to grow and that we stick together through both the beautiful and challenging moments in life. Much love and appreciation to all of you."
