Alec Baldwin welcomes 7th child with Hilaria Baldwin, fans joke, ‘Trying to match Nick Cannon?’

ARLINGTON, VERMONT: Alec Baldwin, who most of 2021 and 2022 was embroiled in the controversy of accidentally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while filming 'Rust', got to share a piece of good news with his ardent fans. The ‘Boss Baby’ star welcomed his seventh child with wife Hilaria Baldwin- a baby girl whom they named Ilaria Catalina Irena. She was born on Thursday, September 22, and weighed 6 lbs, 13 oz.
 
The 64-year-old reposted a video on his official Instagram video originally shared by his wife. They posted a lovely video of their other kids bonding with the newborn. Alec Baldwin also makes a quick appearance in the video. We can see the award-winning actor with a temporary tattoo of sorts of newborn’s footprint. The couple called their newly-born daughter “our tiny dream.”

‘So excited to introduce you to our tiny dream’

Taking to Instagram, Alec’s wife captioned the video, “She’s here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true. ilaria catalina irena. 9-22-22, 6lbs 13oz.” She added, “Both she and I are happy and healthy. Her Baldwinito siblings are spending the day bonding and welcoming her into our home” concluding, “Much love to you all. We are so happy to celebrate this wonderful news with you”
 
Speaking of their new addition to the family, the couple told People magazine, “How grateful we feel to welcome our newest little daughter into this world. Just as magical and filled with love as every other little person we have been blessed with."  They added, “Her Baldwinito siblings are so excited and all discussing who she looks the most like- we are overjoyed to introduce you to baby Ilaria."

Alec tied the knot with Hilaria in June 2012. They already share six children namely sons Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 23 months, Romeo Alejandro David, 4, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 5, and Rafael Thomas, 7, and daughters Maria Lucia Victoria, 18 months, and Carmen Gabriela, 8. The ’30 Rock’ star also shares 26-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin with former wife Kim Basinger.

‘Trying to match Nick Cannon?’

Social media users were quick to troll Alec Baldwin asking if he was in competition with Nick Cannon as the latter has a total of nine kids. “7th baby?!! Lol my marriage would not last with that many kids,” quipped one user as another questioned, “Trying to match Nick Cannon?” Another on similar lines chimed in,” Is there a contest between Nic cannon and Alec Baldwin to see who can father the most kids?” Whereas, another added, “I’ve seriously lost count of how many kids Alec Baldwin and his wife have now. They seem to be able to grow them in less than 9 months. It’s incredible.”
 
The next one tweeted, “If Alec Baldwin decides he doesn't want any more kids after this, and Nick Cannon's women wise up, Nick and Hilaria can make some babies together because I don't think either of them are ready to stop.” Meanwhile, another stated, “Just read that Alec Baldwin had his 7th kid.. That man sure is trigger happy.. Badum tish.” An individual asserted, “How many children does a senior citizen need?” And, one concluded, “If I had the finances, I would probably have more children but 7 is a lot.”
