Alec Baldwin slammed for celebrating Halloween in costume days after set shooting

'Life must be tough after you kill your good friend!' a Twitter user took a jibe at the actor

Alec Baldwin has been slammed mercilessly on the internet after his wife Hilaria shared family photos on her Instagram page celebrating Halloween. The slide of several pictures came a few days after the 63-year-old actor accidentally fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the sets of upcoming movie ‘Rust’.

Hilaria shared the pictures on Sunday, October 31, and captioned it, “Parenting through this has been an intense experience, to say the least. Today, we rallied to give them a holiday. Last min costumes…a little hodge-podge…but they were so happy and that warmed my mama heart.”

The photos showed Alec in a costume looking like a creature from the popular children's book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. The wife of ‘The Boss Baby’ actor was seen in an apparent spider witch outfit that matched with their two daughters - eight-year-old Carmen, and Maria Lucia Victoria, 8 months. Other kids were also seen having a fun time in quirky dresses.

But many people did not take the pictures in good spirit and started criticizing Alec and his wife. A person commented, “Alec Baldwin absolutely should be charged manslaughter. This is a man with violent and reckless behavioral history, who frequently fantasized shooting people, and openly disregard gun safety and the responsibility that comes with gun ownership. #AlecBaldwin #HalynaHutchins.” Another one tweeted, “That's nice that Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin can wear costumes, smile and celebrate Halloween. You know who is having a very sad Halloween? Andros Hutchins, the son of the woman Alec killed. Alec certainly does not look like he is suffering from PTSD.”

A tweet read, “Honest Q: Let’s say u accidentally kill someone and leave a 9 yo boy motherless, Would u still celebrate a holiday a week later w/ ur kids & her (alive) mother, n post pictures on SM, knowing full well a child will spend his 1st Halloween w/o his mom? #HilariaBaldwin #AlecBaldwin.” A user said, “Alec and Hilaria Baldwin pose with their six kids for Halloween pics Wow! You ‘accidentally’ kill someone and a week later, you are trick-o-treating. #AlecBaldwin must be really suffering. Us ‘peasants’ would be in jail by now.”

A person remarked, “Someone died because of him and he is celebrating Halloween with his family. I hope they give him many years in jail. That face of remorse was quite a show.” The second one noted, “Wonder what Alec Baldwin dressed up for Halloween ? A murderer? Oh no! The Michael Myers of western movies? Instead of a butcher knife it’s with an ice cold unloaded gun?” 

“What is wrong with #AlecBaldwin??? He had some nerve to put on a #costume and take pictures with his family for #Halloween. How does he not have the senstivity to realize that the son of the woman he just killed would be having the worst holiday of his young life?! Disgusting,” a person blasted on Twitter. Another one sarcastically added: “Hilaria Baldwin posted images of husband Alec Baldwin and her young children in Halloween costumes Sunday. In the days after the deadly shooting, Hilaria was spotted driving her husband Alec around a posh ski town in Vermont. Life must be tough after you kill your good friend!”
