Alec Baldwin 'deserves a hug' say fans as pics with Halyna Hutchins' widower go viral
Despite some initial backlash, the Internet is now firmly behind actor Alec Baldwin following the tragic shooting of Halyna Hutchins. Social media users are now sharing photos of Baldwin hugging Hutchins' widower Matt Hutchins and their son Andros, along with words of encouragement for the clearly grief-stricken actor.
The actor was reportedly "inconsolable" for hours following the accident and is cooperating with the police. He's also decided to take some time off, canceling all his other projects. As we previously reported, Hutchins' father Anatoly has refused to blame the star for the accident, which appears to be the result of a systemic issue with production. At the moment, two key individuals appear to be at the center of the controversy - armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and Assistant Director Dave Halls.

Reportedly, Halls called "cold gun" before handing the supposedly safe weapon to Baldwin. The actor had no clue the gun was in fact filled with live ammunition, a mistake that has left him devastated. But it appears the Hutchins family doesn't have any issues with the actor, as the latest snaps of him show.
Alec Baldwin spotted hugging hubby, son
Baldwin met with Hutchins' husband and son outside a hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Saturday, October 23. Reportedly, he had breakfast with the duo before they departed. As the photos show, he shared a tight embrace with Matt, before hugging Andros outside the hotel. The duo was in town for a memorial service for Halyna, which Baldwin also attended. An eyewitness told The Sun Baldwin's "body language was of a beaten man — he was slumped, he looked aged."
Hutchins' family is also incredibly devastated, with Andros reportedly "withdrew into himself and couldn’t say a word for two days." Hutchins' dad Anatoly added, "It’s terrible because we were so proud of them and loved seeing how happy they were - and now it’s all gone." To add to the family's woes, Halyana's sister Svetlana has been denied a US visa, so she is unable to be with her brother-in-law at the critical time.
The photos of Baldwin hugging Matt and Andros quickly went viral on social media, leading users to get behind the embattled actor.

A handful of others have also continued to criticize Baldwin for the accident, with many calling on him to be arrested. But they seem to be a small minority, most Internet users are currently getting behind the actor at this crucial time. The incident has left him so shocked, he's canceled all his other projects to take some time off with his family.
