Anthony Ogogo, a former professional boxer, took to his social media to challenge Jake Paul to a 'real' fight

CLEVELAND OHIO:  A former professional boxer and current All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star, Anthony Ogogo has challenged YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to a fight through a post on X (formerly Twitter). 

Notably, Ogogo has an 11-1 career boxing record, with seven knockouts. He retired from boxing in 2019 due to an eye issue.

Later that year, he began his professional wrestling career at the Nightmare Factory, where he trained with Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. He made his AEW Dynamite debut on March 31, 2021. 

Naturally, Ogogo proposing a fight with Paul brought in a flurry of reactions from netizens, with some stating that the latter doesn't face those who pose as challenging.

Anthony Ogogo, who inked a two-year contract extension with AEW earlier this year, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to challenge YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul for a fight. 

He wrote, "@jakepaul if you want to fight a REAL BOXER!! I’m right here!"

Paul has also taken the boxing world by storm with a 7-1 professional record and most recently defeated UFC legend Nate Diaz via unanimous decision.

Internet reacts to Anthony Ogogo challenging Jake Paul to a fight

As soon as Anthony Ogogo posted on X (formerly Twitter), netizens flocked to comment with their views, with many suggesting that Jake Paul only fights easy opponents. 

One wrote, "@jakepaul is a coward who only fights guys who won't beat him. You would f him up in 1 round, so he would never take that fight. Sad to say, we all know Jake & Logan are p**sies who only do things to make themselves look good, they don't care about real competition."

Another remarked, "Oh, Jake Paul, the world is eagerly awaiting you to fight a 'real' boxer. You've shown us all how serious you are about boxing." 

"I don't think you understand who jake paul fights, he only fights big names, and you are .....?" said a person, while one more added, "Oh please batter him."
