'Big Daddy' co-stars Adam Sandler and Cole Sprouse reunite after 20 years at premiere of 'Uncut Gems' in Los Angeles
Recently, at the after-party for the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Uncut Gems’, Adam Sandler and actor Cole Sprouse were reunited after 20 years! Sandler and Sprouse played onscreen father-son duo in the 1999 comedy ‘Big Daddy’. The two posed for a photo alongside Sandler’s wife Jackie, David Spade and musician King Princess.
In 'Big Daddy', an immature and lazy 32-year-old bachelor named Sonny Koufax (Sandler), who lives in New York City, has his life turned around when he has to be responsible for five-year-old Julian "Frankenstein" McGrath (Sprouse). Both Cole and Dylan Sprouse are credited to the role -- they did look very alike as kids.
At the time of the film, Sandler was 33 and the ‘Riverdale’ star was only six.
Speaking to ET, earlier this year in June, Sandler said, “I remember Cole and Dylan being great little boys. When I see them now, I'm baffled at how they grew into handsome bastards.”
In ‘Uncut Gems’, Sandler's character Howard is a New York City jeweler who is always on the hunt for the next big score. He indulges in a series of high-stakes bets that could potentially result in pennies from heaven. Howard must perform a dangerous high-wire act, balancing family, business, and adversaries on all sides, in his relentless pursuit of the ultimate conquest. The film has received several good reviews, especially Sandler’s performance, who is usually known for his roles in low-brow comedies.
