Though Dawn had given her consent to Jagger completely, the age of consent at the time was 17, making the event still count as statutory rape.

Rae Dawn, and actress best known for her roles in 'The Colour Purple' and 'Commando,' has claimed that Mick Jagger slept with her when she was underage.

Speaking to the Daily Mail,  Dawn revealed she met the Rolling Stones lead in 1977, after which they spent the night together. The actress claims that Jagger didn't know how old she was, but he never asked, either. At the time, he was still married to his wife, Bianca Jagger.

"He never asked me how old I was and I never told him. It never came up. I remember thinking he was really cute. He had tousled hair. I thought, 'Oh man, he is beautiful,'" Dawn said.

Dawn then joined the singer in his limo, where he took her to a recording studio with the rest of the Rolling Stones, and later that evening, took her up to his apartment, for a night that Dawn describes as completely consensual.

"Then I slept over at his apartment. I knew what I was doing. I was experimenting with Mick. I was having fun," she said.

Though Dawn had given her consent to Mick Jagger completely, the age of consent at the time was 17, making the event still count as statutory rape. However, with the statute of limitations having well past, criminal actions cannot be taken against Jagger, even if Dawn wanted to. The actress insisted that Jagger not be painted as a villain in the encounter, saying that it was a different time, with different attitudes towards sex.

She had first revealed the affair when landing the role for 'Commando'. She also said that she meant no harm towards Jagger by doing this interview.

"'I feel incredibly bad about it. It's me and my big mouth. My family and friends knew about it but it's not something I have ever dined out on," she said.

She believes Jagger will be furious about the story being made public. "He's probably going to lose his s*** because I was a minor. He's going to be so mad at me."

Jagger has so far declined to comment.
