Abby Lee Miller sparks uproar after mocking Taylor Swift's dancing, but the 'Dance Moms' star is no stranger to controversy
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller has once again bagged the headlines as she took a jab at 'Love Story' singer Taylor Swift, calling the 'pigeon-toed' singer not as good as her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The 58-year-old slammed Taylor as she took side of her boyfriend being a much better since, saying, "Taylor Swift is pigeon-toed... and her boyfriend’s a much better dancer - we can leave it at that," on 'Leave It On The Dance Floor' podcast.
Dubbing Travis 'natural' Miller said, "He’s a great dancer." When asked the suggestion about how the could singer fix her "pigeon-toed" issue, Milled claimed, "It’s too late. I don’t think she’s worried about it. I don’t think that’s her top priority right now."
Well, this is not the first time the TV star has made remarks about Taylor's feet. DailyMail reports her previously saying, "Let's talk about the feet. Taylor, she's pigeon-toed. She's turned in. So she is doing all the choreography, all this pop stuff and it's so awkward."
Miller made it clear that she loves Taylor's singing but that she needs a lot of work on her dance. Miller on the other hand praised Taylor's boyfriend Travis, "I've seen clips of Travis dancing it up both on the field and off. I think he's a natural."
Miller has turned around a lot of heads with her words, indeed landing in a bunch of controversies. Here are some of her well-known remarks.
Racism
Miller was caught in hot water for making racist remarks to a 7-year-old Black girl. 'Dance Moms' star Kamryn claimed that she and her daughter had to leave the show because of Miller' bitter remark.
"A statement from her that sticks in my mind to this day during my time on DMS8 is ‘I know you grew up in the HOOD with only a box of 8 crayons, but I grew up in the Country Club with a box of 64 — don’t be stupid," Kamryn wrote on her Instagram.
The Black mother captioned the post, "I couldn’t think of a more perfect day to address my experience with Abby Lee Miller."

Assault
Miller's aggression has not been a secret to any. This got her sued after a 13-year-old dancer Paige Hyland filed a complaint against Miller.
Paige claimed that Miller "intentionally engaged in conduct that caused Plaintiff Paige Hyland to reasonably believe that she was about to be touched or harmed in an offensive manner."
The teen dancer claimed to have had panic attacks and anxiety because of Miller's emotional abuse, fearing of getting hurt.
The fear had a deep impression on the teen dancer's mind as she saw Miller "physically batter" other people on the show, including pushing her mother, pinching people, and violently grabbing students.
Fraud and imprisonment
Well, Miller's story does not stop at making racist remarks and assaulting teens. She was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for 20 counts of fraud.
Deadline reports Miller being fined $40K and a $120K currency reporting violation charge. In 2015, she was charged with concealing her income from a Lifetime show.
IRS and FBI then investigated the TV star and found out she was making false bankruptcy declarations. She created secret bank accounts to hide the money earned.
In May 2018, Miller was released and hospitalized after spinal cancer discovery. Fortunately, she is cancer-free now.
