'Love wins' for Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin as they get engaged, but what happened to his ex Viktoria?
Aaron Carter's on-again-off-again relationship with Melanie Martin has taken a new turn and the pair is now happily engaged. The two went their separate paths after a bitter split in April right after Martin announced she was pregnant. The rapper posted the announcement on Instagram along with a picture of Martin's diamond ring. The picture was captioned: "Lövē wins #iloveyou3000 #engaged #fiance #ourlovestory." Reportedly, he soon shared a video on his Instagram Stories along with Martin as they held hands while driving where her ring could be seen. The news comes days after the pair revealed that Martin had suffered a miscarriage.
In a YouTube LiveStream, Carter said, "She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions," and added, "We're going to give it come time, let her heal and then we're going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her." The intimate video also had the couple confessing that their relationship came to an end earlier due to "negative influences" and missteps on Melanie's part, Daily Mail reported.
In the clip, she said, "I am praying that no other problems happen. I feel like everyone has problems in their relationship." While Martin took full responsibility for what happened, Carter went on to explain how he had never lost his love for her. "My heart never let go of [Melanie] and there was nothing I could do about it. And I became so miserable and lonely," he said. Days after his split with Martin, Carter got into a rebound relationship with a model, who was identified as Viktoria Alexeeva.
The question remains: What really happened to his girlfriend and where is she now? A month after they got into a relationship, a few pictures surfaced online which showed bruise marks on Viktoria's arms. Explaining the entire scenario, one Twitter thread said, "So obviously most of you have seen the pictures #Viktoria posted that show bruise marks. Being that #AaronCarter is her ex, we all naturally put 2 and 2 together about who she was implying they came from. But me, personally, I had some Qs."
It further read, "This is because earlier in the week, Viktoria told me in DM that Aaron was not physically abusive to her," and added, "Not only that but before she posted the pictures of the bruises, she had shared them with me personally. I actually did not think she was going to go public with them. I was still confused, though, as to how the bruises got there. So a phone call took place for clarification."
Reflecting on how they went back and forth for hours, another tweet said, "Basically, what happened was Viktoria wanted to leave because there had been a lot going on that day between the 2 of them. Aaron couldn't make up his mind on whether he wanted to just let her go or get her to stay. They went back and forth for hours."
Explaining the entire scenario, the tweets further said, "At different times or at 1 point in time (not specified) Aaron was trying to physically stop her from leaving and grabbed and tried to hold her in the home and stop her from getting to the door. At 1 point she was kind of in a corner being held back from leaving," and added, "He eventually just let her leave and gave her his vehicle to leave in. When she got home she was finally able to get a ton of sleep and says she honestly didn't see the bruises until the other day when someone pointed them out to her." It seems like the two broke up soon after. Now, Carter is back with Martin and they have been engaged but there's no word on when the wedding bells would be ringing for the pair.
