Aaron Carter is being criticized by social media users for appearing in a video where he spoke in a made-up Chinese accent. On Tuesday, December 10, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter posted an Instagram video of him calling up a Chinese restaurant and ordering an array of dishes off the menu in a seemingly exaggerated Chinese accent because he claimed that it was easier for the person noting down the order to follow.

He captioned the post: “When your friends can’t order Chinese food chicken in NYC AND you have to SHOW THEM YOURE (sic) cultural status."

The 32-year-old received a lot of backlash for his stint. "This is why dude isn't an A-B-C- or D list celeb if there's such a thing lol We gotta Stop making stupid ppl famous..." a person wrote, while another commented, "I'm Asian but I'm done with you. A shame."

The 'I'm All About You' singer has had a horrible year what with him getting slapped with restraining orders against his twin sister, Angel, as well as his brother, Nick, last month and later revealing that he had checked into a hospital to deal with his massive stress levels.

“After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today,” Nick, 39, shared on social media in September.

“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”

Soon a Twitter feud started between the two brothers, with Aaron responding with,  “So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol. Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life. I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend.”

On November 25, Aaron revealed that he was “taking a break” from social media to spend “some time on myself.”
