Aaron Carter claims late sister Leslie raped him while she was off her bipolar medication
Just days after his brother took out a restraining order against him, Aaron Carter accused his late sister, Leslie, of sexually abusing him in the past.
“It runs in the family. I never wanted to tell anyone this. But I have too [sic]…,” Aaron wrote in a series of tweets on Thursday. “My sister Leslie suffered from bipolar and took lithium to treat it. She never liked the way it made her feel and when she was off of it she did things that she never meant to do I truly believe that. I was 10 years old….”
He added: “My sister raped me from the age of 10 to 13 years old when she wasn’t on her medications and I was absused [sic] not only sexually by her but by my first two back up dancers when I was 8 years old. And my brother absused [sic] me my whole life.”
The county authorities confirmed to Page Six that they had launched an investigation into Aaron's claims.
“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is aware of recent media reports regarding family members concerned about the welfare of Aaron Carter,” a spokesperson said. “We are currently investigating the concerns of all parties involved, and utilizing all available resources to assist family members in addressing their concerns.”
Leslie died at the age of 25 of a drug overdose in 2012.
It was reported that Aaron's brother and former Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter, filed a restraining order against the “Sooner or Later” singer when he became aware that the former had thoughts of "killing babies" and hurting his pregnant wife. Aaron confirmed the news on Twitter, telling TMZ later that he had surrendered two of his assault rifles to the police when they came by to hand him the order.
“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” Nick tweeted this week. “We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”
