A mysterious and eerie lawsuit has been brought against Hollywood power players, here's full list of celebs named
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: In a bizarre lawsuit filed by a New York female attorney, Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon along with a plethora of other celebrities have been accused of stalking and using her private details in artistic endeavors.
Per the court documents obtained by Daily Mail, the attorney accused Damon and Affleck of bugging her house, hacking her devices, and mirroring her life in their works.
The woman further claimed that not only her life was mimicked but also her physical appearance have been copied by the two stars for several productions.
Who are the plaintiffs named in the lawsuit?
Apart from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, other celebrities like Affleck’s brother Casey, Affleck’s current wife Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, and actor Kevin Smith have been named.
Disgraced former producer Harvey Weinstein is also named as an accomplice in the lawsuit along with Jennifer Todd, Suzanne Todd, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, and Robert Weinstein.
The lawsuit has called for actions against Dimension Films, Disney, Lionsgate, Warner Bros and Paramount Pictures. The woman accused the production houses to allow plagiarism and harassment.
What did the woman accuse the plaintiffs of?
In the lawsuit filed under the Adult Survivors Act in the New York Supreme Court, the woman accused Matt Damon and Ben Affleck primarily, of stalking and bugging her home.
However, she also mentioned in the lawsuit that when Affleck was dating SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, her identity, and personal experiences were used for skits in the comedy show.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous also said in the lawsuit that instances from her life have also been used in films produced by Harvey Weinstein.
While she claimed that she did not know exactly when she became an “unwitting participant” in their simulation, she revealed in the lawsuit that she joined Damon and Affleck’s website Project Greenlight - a site launched for developing the skills of budding writers.
The woman claimed that she came to know about the similarities between her life and the films and TV shows after she watched them consecutively while recovering from an injury.
Apart from accusing Affleck and Damon of being present at or near the places, she graced on several instances, she also claimed that she saw her life mirrored in SNL and ‘Mob Wives’ between 2010 and 2011.
She also found similarities between her life and Lopez’s character in ‘Maid in Manhattan’ (2002) and found dialogues and events of her life in Affleck’s ‘Gone Girl’.
She also accused The Weinstein Company of copying her identity in ‘The Details’ (2011), ‘Spy Kids 4-D: All the Time in the World’ (2011), ‘Scream 4’ (2011), ‘The Railway Man’ (2013), ‘The Butler’ (2013), ‘St. Vincent’ (2014), ‘Big Eyes’ (2014), ‘Snowpiercer’ (2014), ‘Bad Santa 2’ (2016) and ‘Amityville Awakening’ (2017).
The outlet quoted the lawsuit saying, “These allegations are corroborated by the fact that three of them use her first name or derivatives of it, another filmed in her neighborhood, several include the boxcutter, others include hourglasses, and one includes her birthday.”
She continues to claim that the characters of these films either had clothes and belongings that were similar to her and talked about her likes and dislikes similar to “high thread-count sheets, squirrels and cats.”
Objects similar to her belongings like a blue and plaid bag, a red Swiss army knife, and a silver-gray boxcutter, hourglasses were also shown in the films.
She also claimed Affleck and Lopez copied her life after they bought a home in Savannah, Georgia after the woman applied for a job there. The woman claimed the actress bought a dog and a horse she wanted.
The woman accused Lopez showed having an allergic reaction on SNL after she had one in December 2019.
